Are the Grizzlies at 8 or 9?
It makes the difference on whether their pick conveys to Boston this season or next.
EDIT - Apparently the Grizz pick will convey next season, which is a good thing.

New to the board and NBA in general. I thought the lottery was in May? Is it done this far in advance and just announced then?

The tiebreakers happened today because it has been about 2 days since the regular season and they have to figure out the order of both rounds to a degree.
Odds for the Pels, Grizz, and Kings will be identical but, when the reveals start happening, we’ll know that we’re fricked if we show up around 9th-10th and that things are potentially very good if we don’t show up at 7th.

Kings got 14th, Clips got 20th and Celtics own pick is 22nd

Celtics got the 22 pick and the Kings landed 14 which is last in the lottery so that’ll more than likely be the Celtics spot

Or, you could see it as: Celts pick have less value, so they will have to offer up more of the other stuff. Or, just more of the picks in general.

After a certain point, i'm not sure a spot here or there matters all that much. Teams' boards are probably all over the place at that point.
