I listened to MM on the radio yesterday and he said if the Kings wanted to they could get a cheap guy like Brian Roberts and have a huge TPE to use for a year. We'll see what they'll want, but I think most of us assumed it would be a S&T all along minus the 6 hours that Iggy was a possible King.

so who do we give the kings?

GV, Roberts, Lopez, or some combo or someone else?

Doesn't even have to be that.

We can send them a 2nd or a non-guaranteed piece like Lance Thomas as long as we clear cap space somehow.

IIRC, we only sent Ayon and possibly some other non-guaranteed players to Orlando last year when we did a S&T on Anderson.

I think his point is that we won't know if Sac will match until it may be too late

Hope we can pull off the sign and trade. I have always liked Tyreke Evans and would like to have him on board.

Pretty much.. Makes no sense for Tyreke to never sign the offer sheet and secure his contract unless this is moving to a sign and trade or the Kings extend him on their own terms.

Sacramento has been looking for a way out of resigning Tyreke from the beginning of this process. They have no intention of matching and if there is a sizeable trade kicker they'll probably get more use out of Vasquez and a trade exception than an Evans who's salary goes up $2 million when you trade him.

precisely. kings are doing their job to get something in return for him, and they will. it will work out well for both parties. i'm not overly concerned.

@mr_jasonjones: No word on Tyreke Evans yet, who I'm told would prefer to stay in Sacramento ... comparable contract offer from sac likely sways him 2 stay

"Prefer to stay in Sacramento"? Might be the first and last time I hear that phrase for a long time. Really don't get why he'd be so much happier in that situation than being a part of a much more promising team where he has a more defined role.

Didn't that jasonjones phaggot say Reke would prefer playing in New Orleans earlier?

If this falls apart he's good with the home team. If he gets traded, Pelicans fans won't care as long as he didn't say something like "I don't want to go to New Orleans". Saying something like this is win win for Tyreke.

I'm really seeing a personality from these reports that would lead me to believe that Tyreke believes very little about winning, which makes him much more of a liability to coach up the way Monty wants.

Tyreke is probably just avoiding the Eric Gordon dipshit brand of team relations.

I hope so. I'd be doing everything I could go get away from there, especially since they aren't THAT interested in keeping him and originally scoffed at the money we offered him.
