Jose walking around after the game without any sort of wrapping/cast on his wrist.

It feels like we’re doing the annual rise from the dead to achieve mediocrity right on schedule.

Nobody gonna talk about how weak Hawkins is? He doesn't need to handle the ball at the end of games. Dude need to lift weights.

So lucky wow. I appreciate that WG is getting the team to play hard but we’re so bad in late game pressure situations under Willie.

But he also wasn't lifting his arm at all.

There were multiple faults even before the inbound to Hawkins and i don't think anyone can hold onto the ball when he is attacked like that.

And why? Apparently we are not firing Willie before the season ends (or even afterwards), so the way Trey and Dejonte are playing lately they deserve to win those close games and it's much more fun than to lose them. We will still end up with top 10 pick and you never know what will happen with the lottery.

Agreed. There are good ways to tank, primarily limiting minutes/SEGABABAs for BI and Zion. Keeping Herb out extra time to make sure that he's fully healed is a good option. Hoping that long term pieces like Murray/Trey/Missi play like shite for the tank is ridiculous.

The Murray/CJ/Trey/Zion/Missi lineup is starting to look pretty legit. CJ won't be here much longer, so we probably need to find a solid scorer soon if we want to be competitive over the next few seasons. But replace CJ with a healthy Herb from last season, shooting 40%+ from 3 and playing great defense, works as well.

It's been a disastrous season, but there are some big posi-Pel takeaways:
-Zion looks slimmer and more athletic than he has in quite a while
-Murray has overcome his early season struggles and looks the part of a legit winning PG.
-Despite shooting poorly from 3 (which is what he's supposed to be great at), Trey looks like a fringe all star, and has been playing legit defense as of late. Once the 3s start dropping, lookout.
-Missi has been really good at center, which was our biggest question mark entering the season.

The future has been looking brighter over the past week, but people are complaining about our lottery odds dropping marginally.

id rather the guarantee of falling somewhere in the top 6 than being potentially top 10 for meaningless moral victories. frick all that.

Outside of everyone playing like shite, how do you propose to do that? Do you want Murray/Trey/Missi to regress? Do you want Zion to get in worse shape again?

Trading CJ/BI makes sense. Slow rolling BI/Herb/Jose return from injuries makes sense. Limiting minutes a bit makes sense. But Willie is coaching to retain his job, and most of these players have pride (Zion excluded, but hopefully that's changed).

So what would you have done differently tonight to help with the tank? Maybe you can get away with limiting Trey/Murray's minutes, but that's about it. And, again, Willie is trying to retain his job. Those two are healthy, so why should he keep them on the bench longer?
