That's pretty unusual for a 2nd rounder.

We all have been hoping Demps would shape the roster in a way that would save Monty from himself. Guaranteeing Russ and letting Roberts go hopefully is just the first move in this direction. Maybe an Aminu S&T is next *fingerscrossed*

Patric Young also got a little more security than usual for an UDFA. Got a guaranteed training camp invite.

Cavs pursuing Mike Miller per sources.

I saw something yesterday that the Heat were looking into S&Ts of Mario Chamlers. I wonder who they could get for him.

Pick a shooter who's played with Lebron in their career #sources

Cavs pursuing Donyell Marshall #sources

If Miami can send Mario Chalmers sign-and-trade package to/through Charlotte for Josh McRoberts, Heat would still have their MLE to spend.

Gotta try it if you're Miami. Also funny that Chalmers is gonna take his rightful place at the end of some mediocre team's bench after being the starter on 4 straight finals teams.

Wiggins to the Wolves for Love. Love and LeBron and Kyrie. Let's do it.

This angle of the story has kind of slipped away completely. Wiggins + Bennet/Thompson + future picks is not a bad haul for Love.

I'd normally laugh at the thought of this, but there have been a lot of laughable moves so far this FA period.

Definitely. I think you have to do that deal if you're Minny. Love's leaving, end the denial. Love is great, but it's not like you're trading away playoff runs. Move on with an elite prospect, try to dump Martin, maybe even Pek's contracts, and rebuild. If Wiggins is what he's supposed to be, you won't be bad for long.

The cavs would need a long term commitment from love to justify sending Wiggins/Thompson+something+Picks.

That's a big haul to give up.

I might rather keep wiggins in that scenario and develop him.

I think the assumption is that Love would commit long term if Lebron is there

Unless Love absolutely hates the idea of living in Cleveland (understandable if so), you'd have to think he would sign long term to team up with Kyrie and LeBron.

Love isn't searching for a big market, he wants to win. He'll stick around if LeBron is there. The real problem for Cleveland is this:

Among GM's, there's still belief LeBron James walks into Pat Riley meeting, lays out his 1-2 year max contract proposal and stays w/ Heat.

It's been speculated that LeBron would want a short term deal so he would start a new contract after the new TV deal is signed and the salary cap jumps dramatically. Kevin Love would probably pick up his player option and stick it out in Cleveland for 2 years with LeBron, but what happens after 2 years when both are Free Agents?

Sources indicate the Cavs are also in pursuit of free agent James Jones, who can stretch the floor--& just happens to be LeBron favorite.

Literally ANYBODY who's ever shot a 3 pointer on a Lebron James-led team is apparently being pursued by Cleveland. #sources

I guess the Cleveland front office is trying to recreate most of its moves from the 2000s, where they did all kinds of stupid shite in order to keep LeBron happy.

Lebron is trolling the frick out of Cleveland.

He's going to have them do all of this, show up at a press conference in Cleveland and say "I'm going back to South Beach again, suckers!"

If LeBron is going to get an opt out for year 2, then going all in for Love is worth it for Cleveland.

It just becomes about selling Love and LeBron on playing together in Cleveland.

That's true but it's just worth throwing out there.

We'll see

For Cavaliers, there are no assurances on LeBron James -- and Plan B remains free agent Trevor Ariza into part of space, sources tell Yahoo.
In other words, nobody knows shite.
