Mcw had 441ast compared to holidays 280 in his rookie season.
Mcw had 130 steals and 43 blocks... Oh did I mention he's 6'6.
Jrue had 79 steals and 18 blocks
Mcw scored 1167 pts compared to holidays 587.
Jrue played only 24 mins a game his rookie year and didn't start till near the end of the season.
Jrue was also much more efficient at shooting(44% FG/39% 3PTFG)
MCW was given the keys from the get go(35 min per game)
Awful comparison

ESPN sources say Brooklyn Nets on verge of acquiring Jarrett Jack from Cleveland in three-team deal
Boston is third team in deal will acquire Tyler Zeller from Cleveland as well as future first-rounder and Marcus Thornton from Nets
Three-team trade will see Nets acquire Jarrett Jack and Sergey Karasev from Cleveland. Boston gets Thornton, Zeller and a first
So the Nets are giving up a future 1st to turn Marcus Thornton into Jarrett Jack and Karasev?

it's happening
ETA: Karasev is a past first rounder and is Russian
This move "nets" the Cavs 9.5mil in cap space.

It's not an awful comparison when you still have a 10th pick in your pocket that could have moved you up in the draft. Never said mcw was better than holiday but he sure as hell would be a good replacement if our draft pick landed us another solid player. Done arguing this believe what you want.

This revisionist history stuff is very annoying. If the 2013 draft were re-drafted, MCW would go 2 at the latest, MAYBE behind Oladipo.

Given the composition of Brooklyn's team, their lack of cap space, and lack of other assets, they have to give up a *lot* in order to get any guys they can to win now.

It's about free agency, and other teams moves affect our moves. Heaven help the poor bastard that comes to this thread hoping to keep up with FA news only to find the last few pages filled with arguments that belong in another thread that just happens to be a current thread on the first page. #ThisIsWhyWeCantHaveNiceThings
It could be worse

As @ESPNSteinLine reports, Cavs unload Jack/Zeller/Karasev in 3-way. Asked Cavs official: Still in it for James? "I believe so," he says.

Boston makes out like a bandit here.
Zeller and a future 1st for taking on Thornton's expiring isn't bad for a team which is going to end up tanking anyway.

Yeah, a pick and an expiring that's also a decent player might come in handy if you're making a run at Kevin Love.

There's a lot of smoke coming from Cleveland. Let's hope for some resolution. Maybe James announces today so that the Cavs can get to work before the moratorium ens.

Basically every source is saying Cleveland is making these moves without any assurance Lebron is coming.
Meanwhile twitter's already firing up the "Cleveland as the victim," story line from 4 years ago, if he doesn't actually go there.
"How could he does this to poor Cleveland again." GTFO

Word is that Cleveland made the trade when they did, and paid Boston a premium, because they wanted to get it done before LBJ's meeting with Riley and impress on him how serious they are about signing him.
That ends up being a very expensive gamble if it fails.

That's pretty unusual for a 2nd rounder.

For Cavaliers, there are no assurances on LeBron James -- and Plan B remains free agent Trevor Ariza into part of space, sources tell Yahoo.
