We have one beat reporter who is still salty over the team letting his buddy Lionel Hollins go, so you will get the occasionally snarky tweet from him or some terrible article out of nowhere.

Smith has been basically posting troll articles for the past month.

He just reeks of butthurt.

The whole TP is basically a joke.

MM went on an EG witchhunt on the official Hornets247 Twitter handle too, so it comes in all shapes and sizes.

The TP writers can lick my noots. They're awful and paint such a negative picture to the casual fan. I'd be happy if they just simply went away.

Which is why I don't mind Fletch. At least he covers the team and is genuinely excited about doing so
I don't know if I would call it "covering the team." He is like a child fan with no knowledge of the NBA.

IMHO, they need to get rid of both and hire someone young who actually has an inkling of knowledge about the modern game.

That's because he spends so much time scouting euroball.

Sources: Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies have expressed interest in free agent point guard Brian Roberts.

Know what the best part about these reports is? If we were trying to retain, our name would likely come up on these lists put out by agents.

I don't know about New Orleans local guys, but we don't have shite in BR. I don't think we even have a Pelicans guy that writes for the Advocate. As far as radio, Moscona will only talk about the Pels when there is something big happening, like the draft, start of the season, or big trade or signing. The Sports Today guys are too busy talking about betting.

As others said, its kinda sad that if I want to get Pelicans info/analysis you have to go to the blogs with unpaid writers, while the guys who do get paid for it don't give a shite about the team.

Houston's Jeremy Lin trade still has not left the tarmac. Source says deal only goes in motion once Rockets secure free-agent commitment.

On the plus side, I haven't seen one reference like this to the Asik trade, Demps must have said No Take Backs.

The Rockets had to trade Asik no matter what. Howard and Big Turk could no longer co-exist.

I think the Lin trade was basically just rumors, more so than the Asik trade.

ETA: I don't recall hearing details or specifics about the Lin trade.

It's sounding like Big 3 is staying in Miami and Melo is bound for NY or LA. Love is next on the list, at least to get Love they'd probably have to give up both Parsons and Terrence Jones.

They have a deal in place with Philly, probably to get the pick we're sending them for Asik.

There is actually a guy, Darrell Williams, that writes Pelicans articles pretty regularly for The Advocate. They are all listed as "Special to the Advocate," so it seems he isn't a staff writer.

What makes you think that is the most likely scenario? If anything, doubts have been raised against that happening recently. Chris bosh seriously considering houston's offer and the trend with lebron considering teams. Not to mention Knicks are uneasy that Melo didn't commit on Monday...may be waiting to see what Bosh/James does.

I'll agree with TIA, I think all 3 are returning to Miami when it's all said and done. Cleveland will make a nice run at LeBron, and he'll likely seriously consider their offer, but I just feel like he stays in Miami. Even though McRoberts and Granger aren't huge players, I think they committed to Miami on the notion that LeBron was returning.

If LeBron returns, then Bosh is more than likely going back. Wade is going back to Miami just because he won't find a better situation anywhere else. I think Melo is waiting to see what Bosh does (who is waiting on LeBron) in case there's an opening in Miami, but he'll likely go back to NY (IMO), especially if they can clear space by trading Amare.
