I just assumed Tyreke wasn't on the team anymore. Seems like that is the trend around here.

The NFL and NBA are so different, it would take me 5000 words to properly address that comment. TL;DR - NFL players are simply different than NBA players, the NFL has true parity, and only 30 out of 1500 guys are difference makers (2%) while the percentage is much higher in the NBA. At least perception wise.

Now, if the Pels had won 51 games last year after 45 the year before, they would have landed a guy. So winning is the biggest issue, make no mistake about that

With all of the teams throwing crazy money around, I am happy to see the Pels not get into a bidding war.

I would rather miss out and sign some OK players and grind out next season. If we are healthy I think we can make a run at the 6-8 playoff spot.

if Buddy is ROY type player, I can see us being able to attract some FA with AD and Buddy

pretty much sign no one of significance, kind of suck again,

We lost over 350 games to injury last season. I'm not foolish enough to assume we'll be healthy this year, but we sucked for a reason. If we have even average health luck, and add a few more competent players to the mix we should be in the 6-8 seed hunt. The biggest question mark other than probably relying on SF by committee again is how do you replace Ryno? Or more specifically, how do you replace AD 15 games a year without Ryno?

Is it a good sign they stuck to a price and didn't get into a bidding war on Lin?

They stuck there because they aren't paying their backup more than their starter. I am curious to see what this free agency does to team chemistry. What are Klay, Draymond, Curry, Iggy gonna be thinking when Barnes is making more than them? That's gonna happen all over the league.

I'm sure we would love to believe athletes are smart and will understand why, and will take it in stride without it effecting their ego or pride. But having met as many players as I have, I HIGHLY doubt that happens more times than not

That depends. Was it $10 million because that's what they valued Lin at and stuck to it, or is it $10 million because that's all they have left over after Ryno's cap hold and the assumption is they're bringing Ryno back even though he looks like he's gonna get paid.

Kind of surprised Ryno hasn't gotten a deal yet.

FWIW, on his podcast with Windhorst, Lowe said to "put it stone" that Ryno isn't coming back

Dell and Danny might strike out, but it's not because they aren't trying. They are trying very hard and will likely have at least one committment within the next 48 hours. But when you are competing with multiple teams on every guy and all those teams have money, it is very easy to lose out when your market isn't appealing, your ownership is a league wide joke, and you won 30 games last year

This is going to be a difficult offseason to compete for players without making stupid moves and I am fine with going low key, but at some point the excuses for Dell (injuries, ownership, market...etc) need to stop.

its just frustrating in the nba being seen as a desirable team, frick the lakers are struggling to be seen as desirable, what more have they had to do. All of a sudden teams like cavs and warrios are selectively desirable but yet notobdy wants to really play with AD... weird.

I am not making excuses for Dell. I think his past but us in this position and that is on him. But I also think it is impossible for him or any GM to dig out of this hole because of the ownership.

Pick whoever you think the best GM in the world is and put them in Dell's spot today and he isn't accomplishing anything either.
