So, someone explain to me please why Bradley isn't the player the Pelicans would want.

Because between Crowder, Bradley and Smart, Bradley is the one they'd like to keep.

Source says Boston has already begun contacting teams about picking up Marcus Smart.

Ok. Thanks. The posts I've seen seemed like the Pelicans fans would want Bradley the least and I thought I was missing something.

Perhaps this was one of the things Dell was waiting on?

Bradley is on the last season of his contract, he's going to be an unrestricted free agent and very expensive after this season.

Smart is also on the last season of his deal, but will be a restricted free agent and under team control for at least 4 seasons.

He also can't shoot so that should limit his market. I don't know how to feel about Smart. He seems like a potentially great long term prospect if you can improve his shooting, but if you're giving up a pick for him, and also not going after Lin/Bledsoe, does he really help you much this year? You probably shouldn't play him much with Hill who's going to get at least 28 MPG.

The problem with so many of these flawed players we want to look at all comes back to you can only get away with one of those flawed guys starting at a time. And unfortunately the flawed guy we already have is only good at one thing and is blocking other flawed players that are good at multiple things.

If we get swaggy P it makes a lot of sense

I mean the coaches made tyreke pretty decent at shooting. He's only 23 and could improve a good deal in just an off season.

He also shoots pretty well from the corners(about 40%)

I'd imagine Hayward was holding up things for many as he was the last domino.

I'd expect things to pick up over the next couple days

ETA: Adam Kaufman ? @AdamMKaufman
I'd expect #Celtics to trade Jae Crowder. Not sure if they'll be forced to choose between Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart as well.

Adrian Wojnarowski ? @wojespn
Flurry of action surrounding Olynyk, with multiple teams gauging his price point in unrestricted free agency now, league sources tell ESPN.

I feel like Hill's 3 point shooting is exaggerated in a negative way. He shoots ~35%. If he shot 37% from 3 no one would think he was a bad 3 point shooter. The difference between Hill's 3 point percentage (34.8%) and 37% is 6 made three pointers over the course of 71 games (one more made 3 pointer every 12 games).

Also, the Pels have the advantage of having a good 3 point shooting center.
