Gentry mentioned it in the post practice interview. He acted like it wasn’t a big deal and said it was caused by an uncomfortable long flight from Spain.

I want the Pels to make a run at McCaw. I’d happily cut Diallo, guaranteed deal and all. Can pick up another big later

And how will You do it?

It was reported that he turned down $5.2M two year offer with second year NG. So it is probably ~$2.5M guaranteed

One year minimum is ~$1.5M

We could always find a team that thinks they can use Diallo, ala. Hawks, and have them use some cap space to sign nd trade McCaw to us for Diallo and a non guaranteed...

He maybe turning down GS simply because he thinks he can get more playing time somewhere else also

mccaw has in no way proven he's an NBA player at all, much less a good one, and he should fire his agent. declining the GSW qualifying offer might be the dumbest player decision this year

Didn’t get to watch the game tonight, but just got home nd checked the box score and Niko coming off Achilles soreness played 37 minutes in a meaningless preseason game against the Knicks?????? WTF?

His Achilles issue was supposedly caused by a long uncomfortable flight from Spain. We've all had stiff legs from travel so I assume they were being overly protective of him in the first place. The 37 minutes does seem out of line but he had to be 100%. You don't go from overly protective to wreckless for preseason.

anyone concerned that they have been boat-raced in 3 games by the dregs of the eastern conference? coughing up turnovers like they all grew hooves in the offseason? Paper thin interior defense?

No - just like I wouldn't be any more excited if they were blowing everyone out. Preseason is for experimenting

But what I am concerned about is Solo. I helped out hope he would be 'Not terrible'

I haven't checked the stats but eye test tells me he is awful. I would ONLY play him at the 4 this year. He'd be my backup 4, with Randle or Niko as my backup 5. Diallo would also get DNP's. Okafor, occasional minutes depending on matchup

I need Hill and Diallo gone yesterday and a decent or better wing in their place

Davis and mirotic might both set a new minutes played record this year if they don’t die on the court first. They’d better make the right decision on which D league wing they keep out of camp and hope/pray for Jan and feb opportunity

I haven’t had a chance to watch much of the three games and I know it’s preseason, but this was three crappy teams you didn’t do well against. It’s not something I would worry about to much, but I’d expect the starters to not have negative +/- against a crappy knicks team.

I’ll chalk it up to those young teams having more to prove, even in the preseason and us just trying to not get hurt.

In my projected minutes, I have AD at 36 and Niko at 30 - so I don't know how they'd die from that

My projected rotation, (with minutes) would be:

PG- Payton (28) Frank (10)
SG- Jrue (35) Clark (19)
SF - Moore (29) Miller (14)
PF - Niko (30) Hill (10)
C - AD (36) Randle (29)

If you watched the games, you would see the defensive intensity is at like a 25 (out of 100)

Its slightly higher than an All Star game

Can we please just split Hill’s ten minutes between Niko and Randle lol

Or give more to Miller, give Diallo or Jah some minutes --- yes. If Hill sucks out the gate, I would do that for sure.

For me, him and Frank are on probation and if they struggle, they lose their spots

I despise the idea of playing Hill at PF, an undersized PF that can’t rebound and can’t score. Not that I get caught up with positions, but the talking head idea that Hill should be a PF because he can’t shoot bugs me.

Sorry, I just think I have checked out on him entirely.

By "power forward" I mean that I would never have him on the court with two bigs. There were quite a few minutes last night where he was on the court with Diallo and AD. No thanks.

But, when the Knicks have a guy like Knox playing "the 4", then yes I have Solo out there at the 4. Instead, the Pels had him at the 3 and defending Trier, who was so much quicker.

I actually like Hill as a P&R handler and he can use that if there is only one other big on the court.

Obviously, against a traditional 4/5 like an Aldridge/Gasol - no thanks. But if you are playing Memphis and JaMychel Green is at the 4, I am fine with Solo getting those minutes

I get it and agree. Again, my hope is to not squeeze him on the court at all. Play Okafor or Williams when and if needed.

I think I have a little more confidence in Frank Jackson. Though he is still essentially a rookie, and rookies are rarely a plus.
