We should have some sort of move by September 1st, correct?

with the moving of guarantees dates of Liggins and Emeka contracts and expiring of TPE. yes. it is possible.

personally I am looking for a lateral move (without intel).

it just looks like planned from the start in typical Dell fashion...

Scott Kushner: The #Pelicans have explored a series of point guards this month, hoping to add depth at the position. League sources said the following have come through (or are still in NO working out): Ty Lawson, Darius Morris, Tyrone Wallace and Erick Green. – via Twitter ScottDKushner

I would be so curious to see Erick Green in this system. The guy gets buckets. And he isn't a high turnover, mistake prone guy. One of my favorite offensive college players of the last decade. Got to the line, etc. I am sure you can get him with minimal guarantees. He'd probably be my choice.

I would prefer a guy who is just happy to be in the league, as opposed to one that feels entitled to be in the league and is upset if he gets a DNP

Not saying Lawson would do that, but I know for sure Green wouldn't

Why September 1?

I see July 30 2018 for Liggins and July 12 2018 for Okafor.

The Oklahoma City Thunder reportedly waived small forward Kyle Singler on Thursday. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, OKC will use the stretch provision on the final year of Singler's contract.

This makes me mad.
No wonder these big market teams can get away with things, when stupid lottery teams bail them out for sweet frick all.

How is this a bail out trade? Because Chriss was once a high draft pick? He's been worse than Diallo by many measures and like cgrand said, a pick from Houston has to be involved. If that's true then Houston gave up a 1st to trade one of the worst big contracts in the league for one of the worst guard contracts in the league.

It is a huge bailout if there were no picks involved. Chriss has been much more productive than Diallo, albeit a disappointment given his draft position.

He doesn’t rebound well and he shoots a bad percentage. Low 40s from FG, 30 from 3 and low 60s from FT.

I agree that it is a bailout if no pick is involved but I don’t see how the trade happens without a 1st. What’s Phoenix’s motivation to do this trade without a pick?
