I have no doubt I would be a horrible GM. So no debate there. But getting a cheap guy like Gerald Green as a 10th guy would be better than a 6th 6'4 combo guard that might go off once in a blue moon.

Again, these are all narratives we have created in our head but aren't factual.
Kobe has one season where he had over 90 dunks. Vince Carter had 0 seasons over 90.
We have all these highlights in our head, but the reality is that even the best players had 1 dunk per game. Maybe 3 every two games. And maybe one per week was over a guy.
It's not a big part of the game, and it really has never been.

Gerald Green is not available. He also has only dunked the ball 41 times over the last three years.
And it's not all about scoring. A combo guard helps the ball move, both by dribbling and passing. It's not all about who finishes a possession. Look, if you want a guy who can jump high for entertainment purposes thats cool. But in a season of 170,000+ possessions, I am not going to sign a guy because he might give me 8 really cool dunks

Jrue doesn’t go for it often, but he attempts some pretty monster dunks at times. He landed a pretty big one on Nurkic in the playoffs.

That's kind of what I mean. Of all of the great plays that Holiday had last year, that is the one you remember. I would just like one of those type of guys. We have a few big wings (Liggins, Miller and Hill), but none are really explosive leapers. Maybe Jackson can bring it, I don't know. I hope so. It's just weird that we haven't had one in years that I can think of..

We apparently signed Garlon Green to a contract. Not sure if this is just a camp deal or for real.

Green's contract is expected to include some guaranteed money for 2018-19 and be non-guaranteed with trigger dates TBD in future years per sources.
Sounds like it for the most part. I wonder how much "some guaranteed money" is? $50k?

To get him to agree to come to camp (and not go back to Europe) and provide the Pels the option to lock him down longer for the minimum. I am assuming it is something like $50k-100k which means nothing to the organization in the grand scheme of things.

Typical 50-100k guarantee with NG option. Easy to cut. At best two -way candidate

What is the status of the gleague team?
Aren't they closed to being required?

Well Garlon Green is 6'7", and he did shot 45% from 3 in Europe last year, and he also did this:

They were supposed to start up this year but Pensacola fell through as a location. The last report was they are looking pretty closely at Birmingham.

Status of our GLeague team is to get GLeague team next year.
So nothing new there.

They were down 2 with .4 seconds left and the other team was shooting the 2nd free throw.
He claims his reasoning was that he heard the opposing coach tell them to miss it on purpose so the time would run out getting the rebound, so Garlon decided they would have a better chance at converting a 4 point play with .4 seconds left, than a 2 point play with 0 seconds left. I shite you not

This is pathetic. We on TD reached consensus on Pensacola.
Now this news.
It could only be about the facilities.
Play in a big high school gym.
Or a jc.
