I wasn't bashing us for that trade as much as pointing out that sometimes a deal that looks like a steal is seen differently with hindsight. Most of the reaction to the Harkless trade I have seen has called it a steal for Portland. Personally, I think Orlando will win the trade in the long run.

No disagreement with anything that you said, like I said, I just like playing devil's advocate from time to time. I think Harkless is certainly worth a future 2nd for Portland, but I wouldn't be so quick to call it a steal.

Same here. Like I said earlier, I'm not even asking from a Pel's POV because I don't think he's a make or break player, nor is he likely to accept what the Pels can offer; he's just in an interesting situation.

Calling a 2nd a steal in any trade is kind of silly. It's like stealing a tootsie roll.

Are you arguing that Rondo was never "very good"?

I was referring to calling it a steal from Portland's perspective, but I think it's fair from both ends.

Prime Rondo was better than Payton and was still overrated by playing with 3 hall of famers.

A high 2nd round pick (which it could easily be) is actually a quite valuable chip and has a solid success rate. Again, a better chance at success than I believe Moe has

I agree, but he could never shoot. I think Elfrid's peak potential is "good" Rondo.

Celtics will be acquiring Perry Jones, a second round pick and cash from Oklahoma City. Not really giving up anything. Tax deal for OKC.

Pretty sure that's not a legal deal. I think there has to at least be a conditional pick or player.

I think Boston is sending back a highly protected 2nd that will never actually change hands.

The New York Knicks and free-agent guard Alexey Shved “haven’t found a deal that makes sense” and it is “unlikely at this point” that Shved will be back with the Knicks, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, said on Tuesday.

Shved turned down a minimum offer from the Knicks and at least two other teams earlier in free agency, according to league sources.

I know Gyno was hoping for Shved, but he apparently doesn't want to play for the minimum.
