Has the weed guy, Michael Beasley, been brought up?
Averaged about 11 a game when with the Suns. Same time Gentry was coach.

Marcus Thornton to Houston on one year minimum.

Damn, not being a LSU, I don't love Thornton as much as some of our fans, but that's a good deal for the Rockets.
I know they didn't use any of the MLE to sign him, but wonder what that means for KJ. He's another guy I don't love as much as some of our fans, but with Harden, Terry, Ariza, Brewer, Dekker, and now MT, he doesn't seem like a huge priority.

KJ is the backup plan if someone else signs Josh Smith. While technically we could outbid Houston if they resign Smith to most or all of the MLE, I'm not sure there'd be mutual interest now that we have about $1 million less and fewer minutes to offer.

Orlando is trading forward Moe Harkless to Portland for a future second-round pick, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

I remember when we got Xavier Henry for the low, low price of a 2nd rounder.
Henry did little to nothing. That second rounder became...... Jake Crowder.
I have a feeling Orlando wins this trade in the long run

Oh, and next pick was Draymond Green. 4 picks later was Khris Middleton.
I have a feeling that Orlando, like Memphis with Henry, knows they are trading away a guy who can't play in this league

they've had a good long look at him for sure
I think Orlando fleeced philly in the saric/Payton deal also
Payton's going to be very good

Yeah, I'm aware of the Josh Smith scenario, which is part of the reason I ask. For example, if a team signs KJ to an offer sheet today, assuming nothing happens with Smith in the next few days, does Houston use their MLE to match a 6th/7th wing, or hold out in hopes of re-signing Smith as their 3rd big?

It certainly didn't work out in our favor that year but, 1.) How often are three picks between 30 and 40 THAT productive, and 2.) Who says we were to pick any of those three. Just playing some devil's advocate here.

Even if a bust was taken with the pick, it still would have been a wash at best.
I wasn't bashing us for that trade as much as pointing out that sometimes a deal that looks like a steal is seen differently with hindsight. Most of the reaction to the Harkless trade I have seen has called it a steal for Portland. Personally, I think Orlando will win the trade in the long run.

Until he learns to shoot, he'll never be very good. He'll be a solid player, but "very good" players do not have gaping holes in their games.

This, I wish someone would put their feet to the fire.
