That "Mr. Rambis" post is actually funny as hell. Basically covering their arse in case he doesn't sign with the Lakers.

I do think he ends up with the Lakers imo but lord this process has been wild lol

The private plane that brought Kawhi to Toronto two days ago is now in the air headed west. I wouldn't say that isn't the best sign, but who knows? We don't know that Kawhi is on that plane.

[Edit: For all we know, it could be going back to L.A. to pick up his girlfriend and daughter for a big party tonight in TOR.]

That was Toronto's private Jet, I highly doubt they are flying him back to be with his new team lol

Is Chris Carter clueless and just making stuff up like everyone else? Because what he said yesterday about what was important to Kawhi was pretty much the opposite of this, trust in coaching and medical, organizational competence. Now it's whoever maximizes his winning? If that's all it is then it's been the Lakers and forming a Big 3 all along, because that level of talent can help you overlook the burning dumpster out back. But again, this goes pretty directly against what CC said just yesterday.

I tell ya what for someone “who doesn’t want a lot of attention” Kawhi really does like a lot of attention. Especially, if he goes to the Lakers than he will have all the attention.

The plane is flying to San Diego, where Kawhi bought a $13.3 million dollar mansion in January.

That's better for us than the plane flying to Los Angeles.

I just hope we find out today, I'm going to be all over the Lakers subreddit if he chooses elsewhere.

Miami has reached out to Washington about a trade for Beal and Wall.

I’m not sure if this would be a great move or an extremely stupid move from Miami’s perspective. Washington better keep on this.

I’m 100% sure we’re just as aggressive in getting Beal than any other team. I’m sure Griff is gearing up to get him at the deadline.

There's "aggressive" and there's "gambling on a supermax contract of a one-legged man".

Griff's crazy, not insane.

I think these guys believe that they are influencing the situation by making comments like this.

Recall, Chauncey Billups and company started the "Lebron needs an, uhh Anthony Davis..." commentary as soon as he arrived in LA. And AD probably sat there eating it all up.

And it's quite possible they are being paid to say stuff like that -- either by Klutch or by their directors who believe they know "what's best for ratings".

IMO -- This isn't an analysis, it's a paid attempt to influence thinking.

It is an attempt to influence thinking. But typically it only works on the weak minded.

"You want to play next to LeBron. And the Lakers are a wonderful organization."

Supposedly Carter has been the mouthpiece for Leonard in the media in this saga. If he says he is going to be a Laker, sadly he probably knows something.
