Not really man. If you’re objective fan for the whole season all those guys deserve to be ahead. Now that might change in the next couple of weeks.

Sengun, Wemby, Chet and KAT should not be ahead of Zion and BI

Reeves, Thompson, Morant (who just came back), being ahead of CJ is ridiculous

That's just the nature of the fan votes. When you're not on national TV regularly, aren't household names, playing .500 ball in October and November, and do not have stats to generate the hype, people will forgot about you.

KAT ahead of Zion and just Zion not in the top 10 shows just how far Zion has fallen in popularity, which is wild.

I dont think Sengun is Jokic but hes been really good this year. A lot of Wemby is hype- but hes the type of player people want to see. KAT has been damn good this year on one of the league’s best teams. Same for Chet.

I agree Reeves, Thompson and Morant shouldn’t be ahead of CJ.

Maybe not statistically, but Sengun is having a better and more consistent season than BI and Zion.

Raw stats do count, and you won't see Sengun at the top of the ranks in any statistical category, but he is the engine that has driven the Rockets to their success this season.

He has been their best player and his stats are still all-star worthy.

He's the main reason why a team people thought would venture get to 30 wins is currently in a playoff/play-in spot.

As for Chet and KAT, they are major contributors on the top 2 seeds in the West. Okc may very well be the best team in the NBA behind Boston.

Their contributions in combination with their overall teams success should have them ahead of BI and Zion in voting.

This isn't saying BI or Zion aren't deserving of allstar consideration. But the three listed above are having better seasons and/or better team success.

I’ll also say this. As much as its fun to see the pelican players in the all star game. Frankly this year I don’t care. The goal should be a deep playoff run- thats what we need to see. The Heat last year had no all stars and went to the finals. If anything, if they do get snubbed I hope that motivates them even more.

Chet, Reaves, Wemby, Klay and KAT have no business being in the top 10. Reaves and Klay oof.

Yeah read the whole thread. I acknowledged the Morant thing. I honestly was just looking at the frontcourt for Zion and BI.

Small market team who hasn’t won anything in the middle of the pack.

There is hype around Wemby and Chet because they are “rookies”.

You're joking right? Austin Reaves, Ja Morant, and Klay Thompson are in the top 10. CJ deserves to be above all three for the backcourt voting.

Lol dude please read the whole thread. I acknowledged twice I was just looking at frontcourt.

And I love CJ but he ain’t making the top ten in fan voting unless hes averaging above 25 points and we’re the league’s best team. CJ best chance to make it is as a reserve from players/coaches voting.

I'm pretty objective and this isn't true.

I would REALLY like to hear an argument for why Wemby should be ahead of BI or Zion

In regards to fan voting its hype. Its who they want to see in an exhibition game. Wemby is what fans want to see. Fan voting is based on what fans want to see. Wemby is what fans want. The Wemby thing is not surprising and should be expected if you follow the NBA.
