Haha ok gotchya. The fact you said maybe lakers add some firsts in there makes me think there was a little a bit of seriousness to your post lol.

Murray already works for Lebron through Klutch.

I really do not understand why these teams are so hellbent on always helping the Lakers.
No one should want to deal with them at all unless its absolute trade rape.
But they just bail them out every year.
Methinks there is some cash changing hands outside of the league channels.

The Hawks have remained firm on wanting Reaves included over Russell as a result of various teams presenting interest in Murray. With a trade involving Murray looking more and more likely for Atlanta, the chances of this being a multi-team deal continue to grow, sources said. Los Angeles continues to search the market for a team that would have interest in Russell, especially with the Hawks showing interest in doing a deal without Reaves if the Lakers were to include more draft capital, sources said.
Hmmm, seems like Atlanta wants Reeves and that 1st, and Lakers have to try to send Russel elsewhere or somehow get more draft capital

Reaves and Russell for murray makes more sense

The 30 for 30 on Klutch is eventually going to be very good.

The Lakers defense is still pretty good, it’s the offense that has let them down, in the low 20s this year. Flipping Russell for Murray makes them better, but losing Reaves too really has the potential to sink them on the offensive end. I hope ATL stands firm on Reaves.
The best thing about Lakers trade rumors is how much leaks out of that front office. They haven’t been able to keep a lid on things for years

In the GM thread I said we should inquire about Clint Capela, in part because I think everyone on the Atlanta roster is about to be available.
After last year, I fully expect the lakers to get bailed out. They went from firm lottery team to conference finals at the deadline last year.
It’s lousy, but is the way of the nba

It's also that players want to play there. Think about when we traded for CJ: he'd done enough for Portland that they gave him several choices about where to be traded. Sometimes, teams want to "do right" by guys and send them to a desirable destination.

Kind of depends on the situation now, doesn’t it?
Portland was willing to work with CJ as long as it meant getting salary relief and picks. That was also a mutual parting.
Dames? Less so. He tried to railroad a trade to Miami and Portland told him to frick off, sending him to Milwaukee.

Rozier to Miami for Lowry & 2027 1st
Posted on 1/23/24 at 9:20 am to BallHawk
I know the Pels are usually not in the conversation for buyout guys, but the Griff did help Lowry get paid by Miami. Does he have enough left in the tank to help the Pels?

I would love that. He's pretty washed but even having a veteran PG in the locker room would help

I think this signals Charlotte paying Bridges this offseason.

Lowry is one of those guys, like CP3, who we dodged a major bullet by not getting.
For as much as everyone bitches about Graham, getting either of these guys would have fricked us worse than losing a first rounder for a guy who couldn’t cut it.

I'll ask again, you think Rozier is worth more than a 1st?
