I wish NAW would talk half as much as dinwiddie did. He barely showed any emotion at all.

N A W will be a respected starter in the league within 2 years

Yeah, I'm a NAWstan and didn't find anything exciting about that other he looks more solid and like less of a kid.

Who is that short guy? He was better than I was anticipating.

Dinwiddie was just abusing everyone

Who was doing the editing and did we see a hand picked selection of video shots?

He definitely has a great offensive game but his defense is still pretty far off.
At least that's what I got from the video.

Not exactly inspiring footage. Even though NAW looked a little better offensively as the footage went on.
Spencer Dinwiddie though really looked like he is healed and was playing with guys a class below him.
Also still a bit frustrated with how skinny NAW is. Looked like he was just getting bullied on a bunch of possessions.

When it comes to the Pelicans I’m a complete Charlie Brown. I feel like I know a team needing heavy minutes from NAW, Hayes, Kira and a non-lottery rookie just can’t possibly be good, but I’m still going to close my eyes and try and blast that football through the uprights.
60 win season incoming. Murphy ROTY, Zion MVP and NAW MIP. Green is Popovich.

I just hope our team and fans don't bail on another young talent before he has a chance to blossom. Buddy was a great example. Every players develops at their own rate. NAW took a huge step forward this year.
First year his confidence was not there. Last year matured before our eyes. He is a good clay to mold.

I agree.
And I say that for myself as well.
I was/am still pretty down on Kira from summer league, at the same time he was one of the rawer prospects in the draft from an age and body perspective. And that should be kept in perspective. If he’s not there yet, or this season, it doesn’t mean he won’t ever be. Some guys take longer and we do tend to err on taking the high upside younger guys, or did until Murphy.
Even Hart I think people shouldn’t be writing the book on yet. Very well could still find some new wrinkles to his game.

Agree with the sentiment but Buddy was not a good example. He was traded for a superstar. We didn't give up on him. His value was maximized.

Dinwiddie averaged 20 and 7 before getting hurt and this video shows why. He's big and strong and knows how to get to his spots. The video is more about how good Dinwiddie is than anything bad about NAW

NAW does show some pretty elite quickness in that video. Feel like I’ve seen that in games where he falls over the line or quick to out of control too often. That hopefully gets cleaned up with experience.
Dinwiddie is impressive in that video. Not sure how this is related, but as I watched dinwiddie muscle NAW and NAW’s quick first step to create, I’m glad we didn’t resign Lonzo.

The defense wasn't that great, but they're giving a little more effort on offense, than defense here.
I thought NAW looked really good offensively. His handle is really slick and crafty and he has great touch on his shot from everywhere. I'm excited to see him this year. I think he explodes this year and solidifies his role as our number #3 option.

Nothing to see here... Except Spencer showing off his personality, which is cool and his utmost confidence in his game, which is critical to any player's consistency. Dude looks like a modern day, young Julius Erving.
NAW has defensive limitations and actually kinda concerns me when watching him play from that camera angle ... He's still rather thin for his frame, it appears he's a little slow-footed with his initial, lateral recovery steps on defense and he seems to still be unsure of how to position himself when navigating the balance between playing up on his man and avoiding getting blown by bc I suspect he knows he struggles in anticipating when a player is gonna drive versus a quick jumpshot.
Now, it very well could all be chalked up to him seemingly disinterested, tired or by design of the practice, but even if, I now have a better appreciation of why he may never become an above-average defender. NAW will HAVE to become WAY more cerebal in his defensive game to be consistently successful. And that mainly comes from intense film study and learning someone's tendencies, go to moves, favorite spots on the court and the slight clues a player does when initiating their patented moves relative to where they are at on the floor. NAW is going to have to learn some defensive tricks.
Hopefully, NAW and the team will be better at overall team defense and producing within the system Coach Green utilizes.
Lastly, Spencer looks healthy. I think he shines in Washington this year. I was hoping the Pels took a hard look at him bc I feel he was on the cusp of being a firm All-Star type player before the injury. And now I see why. His personality is someone who is sure of himself and lets others know it constantly. Jordan was the master of this and psyched players out before the game even started many times.
