If you can't crack the postseason rotation, yes, you are essentially trash.

If you can flip BI into Allen and another player or some firsts, that’s disgusting. Zion, Murray, and Allen is sick.

I feel like this would be Griffs dream. I remember a report saying Cavs are interested in BI. Would make sense for them to show Donovan they’re serious with BI and move mobley to center.

This would be solely dependent on Donovan Mitchell. There's been mixed reports about Allen and the Cavs.

If Mitchell wants him there then he's staying unless he demands out.

If we don't trade Ingram and just wanted to send out picks/swaps (no players), these are guys who could theoretically and keep us under the tax.

Remember, we just did a 3 for 1 trade. We have open roster spots.

If Mitchell stays, its also how he views BI. Allen and Mobley don’t really work together and technically you’re trading Allen for an all star wing who can take the load off Donovan.

I haven't kept up with the cavs. Are they making mobley their starting C?

He can’t shoot 3s and seems like he plays better at center. Plus they need to pay him as well.

My issue is Dyson has the value of a late 1st round pick IMO, maybe mid 1st, so we essentially gave up 3 1sts for a guy that no team offered more than 1 first for.
How do you know what any other team offered?

Seems like Pels discussed a Z trade with the NYK this offseason according to NYPost and the BR. Pels are not sold on Z.

He plays 60% of the time

And half that time he's disinterested

99.9% chance some other front office floated that "idea" out and presented it as a leak in an attempt to poison the well.

I can't see any scenario where the Pels shopped Zion last season with that many years on his contract, knowing that they would not got anything close to his value in return.

A quick google search shows that the articles you’re referring to are from October 2023.

Says New York Post. I don’t even understand what they would offer? Julius Randle?

I think it'll be CJ.

I think so too but maybe not at first. I think they idea of pairing CJ and Jose would be a nightmare for 2nd unit defenses as long as they play Hawk more

This strikes me as a great trade. But then again I think nance is nothing but salary filler and have never believed dyson can score enough to ever play minutes that matter in the nba.

I’m a bit concerned this is the year Lebron gets hurt.

Great get for backcourt, an actual lead guard to pair with CJ

Herb. 1. If CJ stays, he starts. 2. Trey is replacing BI. 3. Defensive Murray moves Herb to bench for extra offense 4. Defensive center makes that happen Herb will still close games or play more minutes. We go up 20 and sit CJ the whole 4th for Herb

CJ goes to the bench or he’s traded. That’s the ultimatum. Herb and Trey are starters, that’s non negotiable

I've liked Murray since he was in San Antonio and count me among those who think getting him away from Trae will open up his game even more.

I hope they pair him with Herb for a long, skilled backcourt and move CJ to his more natural role as a 32-year-old sixth man off the bench, anchoring the second unit. But we'll see.

Murray's production last year was basically equal to Ingram's. It was even higher when Trae went out and he ran the team. This is a good get and if you pair him with Herb/Brandon/Zion and just a competent center, you've got a really potent starting squad.

Except it isn’t. CJ will start next year. Just learn to live with that.

I will say 2025-2026 though, CJ on an expiring and Trey’s first year on a new deal sets up nicely for Trey to become a full time starter for the first time.
