This pick was part of the ATL trade. Its top 10-protected for next years draft. We need Cleveland to win enough games to pick on the back end of the lottery. If Cleveland tanks like I expect them to, then the pick turns into 2nd rd pick in 2021 & 2022.

There’s about a 99.9% chance we’re getting 2 seconds. I can’t imagine a scenario under which Cleveland isn’t picking in the top 10.

I think there’s a scenario where Love is healthy and plays more like the guy he’s capable of, Sexton takes the next step and becomes a more efficient scorer and much better passer (think De’Aaron Fox), Garland comes in and does what some of us think he can do and impacts that roster in a good way, and then they still have some veteran guys that aren’t awful players (like Tristan Thompson, Jordan Clarkson) that could help them a bit.

I’m not saying it’s likely, in fact I believe it’s extremely unlikely, but it’s still something worth keeping an eye on and hoping guys like Love and Thompson stay healthy.

It will almost be like having 3 second round picks, since we will be picking 30th.

And second one will be from 2022 when HS draftees will be allowed in the NBA...

Win win IMO

Not impossible to be conveyed but very unlikely IMHO.

This season, the 11th pick was the Timberwolves at 36-46. Cleveland isn’t going to win that many games.

We would need them to win 30+ games then pray that some late lottery teams jump them.

They're in the east. I don't think the odds are as bad we think they are.

I think even if it’s close, they will do a super tank at the end of the season to make sure it doesn’t happen...

Cleveland would need a lot of breaks to finish 11th, in part because their roster is shite and I don’t see a bunch of teams looking to get Jordan Clarkson, John Henson, Matt Dellavedova, Larry Nance Jr, etc.

Their two best players are Love and Tristan Thompson.

Beilein should get coach of the year if they aren't picking in the top 10.

Exactly, then Denver got Bol Bol with a Second rounder which could be a steal one day. Plus you got deals that happen like us trading NIKO for second rounders. Where next time we could possibly be the buyers for a deal like that rather than the sellers. Any draft capital is an asset.

Cleveland was the worst defense of all-time last season. A defense that will be bringing back Kevin Love, and a small guard to play next one of the worst defensive seasons that analytics has seen in Sexton. There is a world where they can be worst defensively this season than last

There’s a good chance he won’t be a Cav when the season. And I am certain he will either be injured or not on the team at the end of the year.

I’d venture to say that that pick is trade bait to sweeten a deal for a “culture” player.

That’s a bum deal

Top 10 protected from a shitty team that reverts to 2 seconds?

If Cleveland has their 1st round pick land outside the top 10, I’ll suck my own dick on Facebook live
