He’s definitely changing his tune now that he’s on top of the world in New York.

NY about to come crashing down this year

Yet, he told Griff not to trade him during the draft after coming to NOLA because he supposedly wanted to be here. Just talking big when with Lil Wayne, etc.

frick him. Even if that’s your thoughts why say it. The city always showed him nothing but love

I mean, he’s just being honest.
It’s common knowledge amongst the NBA that it’s a great city to visit for All Star Weekend but a terrible city to live in. It’s also common knowledge that we’re one of the worst run organizations in the league. Literally none of that is even debatable. Don’t like the reputation? well then maybe Gayle and Griff should do something about it (they won’t).
Can’t fault him for not sugar coating his honest thoughts, just because it hurts our feelings.

He said "No one wants hear they've been traded to N.O.", not "I hate N.O."

I wouldn't classify that as taking a dump on the City of New Orleans.
He was traded from a bad team, but getting to live in Los Angeles, to a bad team, but getting to live in New Orleans.
It's not like the Pels were contenders at the time of the trade.

I think it’s mostly stemming from him thinking Griff did him dirty in contract negotiations, which I still don’t understand because Griff paid him more than any other team was willing to.

We'll you in the Finals Josh Hart.

Murray should have "NO ONE" on the back of his jersey when the Pels play the Knicks.

He’s sharing from the players general point of view. We can’t be sensitive to the truth, just find away to change their perception. The organization has what, 6 or 7 playoff series births in 2 decades? A few top players forced their way out. Don’t take it to heart.

It probably rings true for most of not all small market teams who aren't contenders and doesn't have a history of a winning culture. We're no exception and will probably never be a destination. Griff usually seek out these exceptions ala CJ and Murray types who want to be here and the rest will be homegrown talent.

I remember when KD went to Brooklyn he kind of shite on the knicks saying no one wants to go there. Now Brunson taking pay cuts to stay and they have a prett good team now. Now KD slumming in phoenix and none of that nets team is together any more. Players tak shite and stuff happens.

Power of market perception ... in reality New Orleans has been a more successful franchise than NY since they've been in the league.
