Herb for DPOY at +3500 looks better.

I can think of a half dozen media darlings that would have to miss the season for Herb to win that award

What would he have to average to be in consideration?

Since the inception of the award 40 years ago, one winner has played less than 20 mpg (Bill Walton, 19 mpg). Only 3 more winners played less than 25 mpg

In short, Alvarado will not play enough to sniff the award, on top of not being talented enough

I think many of us might be overrating Jose by a wee bit.

Jose is a winning player, but he’ll never have the stats for 6th man. Trey is probably the only Pel with a shot at it.

Graham has a “clearer” path to the award a la a Jordan Clarkson, Eric Gordon type guy. Pels flirt with a high seed, he regains his stroke and shoots 40% from 3 while averaging ~18 ppg

I have some longshots on Herb for DPOY and Trey for 6MOY, I really love the Trey one but I’m also very blindly biased with what I think Trey can be

Trey theoretically could be the “most improved” player, but he wouldn’t win it because it’s gonna go to Cade, Barnes, Anthony Edwards, or Mobley because the award is dumb

Graham’s never been particularly close to 40% from the field, much less from three. Good luck with that one.

I’d consider myself closer to a DG hater (as a player) than a fan, but he’s been around 41-42% on catch and shoot 3s through his career, and that’s really all we need from him. If he can do that, he can be a fine bench player, but I still am team “Jose more minutes than DG”

I posted a long response into that question in another thread and asked you several questions that you STILL HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO. At what point do you post the questions you said I haven't answered and answer the questions I asked?

Jose or Trey? Both should contribute heavy for this team to be successful.

We’re in a good situation where one of Jose, Graham, and/or Trey could have explosive scoring nights off the bench. I think those 3 guys can carry the offensive load for the bench on most nights. The you add the stability from Nance and having a key starter on the floor at all times make the team remain strong when the majority of our starters are resting.
