Zion posted a video of him dunking at the Pelicans' practice facility Tuesday night.

He has told people around him his surgically repaired right foot feels good and he wants to play, but with only 10 regular-season games remaining, his return is unlikely.
Here we go again...

He looks amazing. The Pels need to play him soon before he finds some greener pastures.

I think they are just going to say “no”.

Their position is likely that cool, you can dunk. You’re not in condition to play in essentially playoff nba games. You’ve been down all off-season. Youve been doing basketball stuff again for like two weeks. Keep working. Come back next year.

I kinda agree.

Zion should be thanking Ben Simmons and Kyrie everyday this season. His story has drafted behind their stuff.
Agreed. If Zion played in a market ESPN cared about, they would've been camped out at the Nike facility trying to figure out wtf has been going on.

Why would we not play him??

Let's build some momentum into the play-in's.

We've basically reached the point where Zion is saying "I want to risk it.. and if you say no I'm gonna be pissed"

This is why my first comment after seeing the video was, why post it?

This first reaction is excitement that he looks great, but ultimately frustration is going to build that he isn't on the court. Especially if we're losing games. Nationally, they're gonna run with worse reasons(for us) that he would post that video.

Could be he just wants to show people after all of the bad press that he’s doing well and still Zion.

Or he’s trying to force the team’s hand.

This accomplishes both, which is exactly why he did it. Don't blame him, although the timing is awful considering what's going on in NOLA tonight.

I'm not some anti-doctor hater. But by that logic, you believe our previous medical staff was perfectly fine?
Fair point but the previous staff had the worst reputation of probably in sports while Aaron Nelson has the best rep among NBA trainers.

Where there's smoke there's fire. I feel like the rumors are true about Zion and Griffs relationship.

Culture and setting the tone are very important in things like this. I can imagine the former Pels medical staff being one that had a football mindset where players are pushed to play with injuries and the staff tried to use that with the Pels which led us to have a terrible rap with players and safety.

We bring the new staff in, and to combat the narrative we go to the other extreme, which is super conservative and babying.

There has to be a middle ground.

No, I trust the current group that is known as and has a track record as a premier group in the league over the previous group that had no such reputation. It's not narrative, it's expertise. We brought in this group because they were known as the best. You have to trust that they know what they're doing.

This is a strong signal from Zion that he wants to play. LET THE MAN PLAY. If he is gassed sit him but not at predetermined minutes. 100% believe that Zion will take being pulled by WG because he looks gassed than being pulled by SVG because of a minutes restriction.

Zion was in some pictures at a restaurant (I think Dragos) but I am not sure and he looked pretty damn lean in the face/neck area from last night. Not sure where the pictures are now, I think the bartender posted them.

BI was also sick and they sent him home, which may have slowed down his recovery a bit.
