That's a nasty shot, I had one very similar not long ago - saw stars and the whole nine yards. I did have the presence of mind to slap the ball between my legs to a teammate but this is white dude gym ball not 250 lb plus pro ball.

I've had two concussions in my life (that I know of) . . . one in car wreck (also had a hairline skull fracture) and once getting beaned by a baseball (dropped like a sack of potatoes at the plate).

They both sucked pretty bad.

AD is so fricking soft. We lost the game by 1 point. He needs to man the frick up because his lost PER obviously accounts for more than 1 point.

Free throws killed us last night. That was as much the difference as anything.

I've had multiple concussions actually, including one That put me out cold still held on to the ball, the others I still found a way to pull security.

Concussions are completely out the player's and in a sense even doctor's hands. They make you take tests earlier in the year to establish baselines and if your brain isn't moving fast enough because you took an elbow to the head, you aren't playing. And you should be ashamed of yourself wanting AD to play through a concussion to get a win in a lost season with all that we now know about how debilitating concussions can be. Don't you want this team to tank anyway? I guess you just like to bitch and moan more.

I didn't realize it was an actual concussion - I agree that was a dumb post by me

And I did want to lose last week but now we had won 3 in a row so it's not like we can finish with a bottom 4 record

I'm surprised Joel called him out on that.

I think AD is "softer" than most players, but I don't care that he gave up a basket after getting knocked out. I think that's ridiculous. And it was a really good pass, fwiw

You ever had a concussion before?

A real concussion, or what they call a concussion in sports these days?

Pretty sure AD just bumped his head. He did not get some scary gonna commit suicide later in life because of it concussion.

I've had two real concussions in my life where i was out of it when it happened. I've also bumped my head many of times. There's a difference. The hit from a concussion usually leaves you at least a bit loopy immediately. Bumping your head just hurts your head, just like it would hurt your knee when you bump knees with someone else.

The sports world is so scared of whatever that anytime someone slightly has their head touched, they have to sit out for a week for a concussion.

And i'm aware of the "tests" they do for concussions. It's a written or oral test. There's no brain study test they do. I have a friend who's pioneering the new concussion tests for the NFL. What they actually do for testing is a joke. It's literally a written or oral test that they perform. My friend is using a device that does tests on your eyes. Not positive on all of it, but it's at least scientific, as opposed to asking someone what's your wifes mom's name. They are testing their concussion tests in the MLB next year and if it goes well they should get it implemented in the NFL.

I don't think they're conducting the sanity test from Miracle on 34th street. I don't remember seeing many details but I'm pretty sure I saw something about response time to questions, so I don't think it's completely unscientific. If it were as simple as you're suggesting AD would have gotten some aspirin from Joel and come back.

All i know is i've got a really good friend who's probably going to be retarded rich soon b/c of what he's doing with concussion testing. It's getting implemented into MLB next year, and it's sort of a test run for the NFL, b/c the NFL concussion testing is a joke.

It's funny how they never really get into specifics about what the concussion testing actually is. It is response time. Response time to stupid questions like what's your wifes moms name, based on some baseline that they may or may not have conducted beforehand.

You can't argue that they are over the top cautious when it comes to bumping your head. He could have actually had a concussion, or he could have just bumped his head and was fine.

What my friend and a bunch of other doctors are doing has to do with eye movement, which is a lot harder to fake the test results, unless you're some trained spy/assassin. All you have to do now is answer the questions they give you for your baseline slower than normal that way when you do the test after a hit to the head you have a better chance of passing the concussion test.

They are really in the stone age when it comes to concussion testing, at least they are for what they have implemented right now.

Thread hijack, but maybe some fellow pelitards can help, I haven't found any good live sports streaming options for Plex. There is a Plex plugin for Ballstreams, but from what I've seen on the Ballstreams reddit, they aren't taking any new members right now. So you can't even pay to watch illegal streams. Does anyone have a good way to watch Pels games on a Roku?

Does the FoxSportsGo App not have them?
I'm running a test run on my cord cutting next week. I've got my wifes parents cable log in so i can get the WatchESPN /FoxSports/CBSsports app.
