BI is not much better than CJ. He's a little better

Then, once you factor in fit like you said, CJ is easily a better fit than BI for this team. So is Trey.

That much is painfully obvious at this point.

CJ had an off night. Hes not a number two. Im ok with CJ.

BI is not progressing. Hes just not good enough and seems like hes hit his ceiling. The guy is already 26. He might improve a bit but I dont see him getting substantially better.

It's so ridiculous that a 3 level guy like Ingram doesn't fit. It's all between his fricking ears too. One coach got on his arse about it and ingram made him quit. The next one let him do whatever he fricking wants.

Oh, absolutely

Imagine if he had a CJ like change in his shot profile but more shots at the rim too. It's crazy how efficient he could be.

The biggest issue though, even if BI is giving you an efficient 22ppg, he kills the ball movement.

The way the ball was moving those 10 or so games he was out and the number of open 3s going up, we've never seen that consistently when BI plays. That's not a coincidence.

That's a bingo.

One of the two has to go, and it should probably be the one in line to get an undeserved max contract.

Exactly why Kerr benched him on team USA. The dude is not going to change his style. Time to move on.

The problem with getting rid of C.J. and Ingram is how Contracts work, and being a small market. Can we attract a good FreeAgent? that will come here? at a decent price? Are they a better fit than what we have now? Does all that go out the window just because they have a track record of staying healthy and playing 85-100% of games? OR NOT!! Do you keep hoping Zion will actually be healthy long enough to get to and play in the play offs? Its like some complicated sim game. And playing against PvP instead the puter. I have no faith

If you can get rid of both then sure. CJ can stay another year because he is a very good fit with Zion. BI can pack his fricking bags. I’ll drive him the to airport. He’s a complete fricking loser. CJ changed his entire shot chart to better fit the team. BI continues to rely on contested midrange shots while playing next to a dominant interior force that needs space. That tells me all I need to know about him. He doesn’t care about winning, he just cares about getting stats and playing his way. 1 3PA from your starting SF in 2024 in a do or die game.fricking pathetic

That's what I'm saying trade for some dude that's is or isn't a better fit? It takes two to tango can't just say hey clips give Kawi.

Oh and then if Zion really hurt again do you just keep doing this over and over again? Def if someone gives you a bag.

i don't agree with shel often, but he's exactly right with this... BI does not fit what works best for this team...

Its slow methodical offense that end in a tough middie jumper. Its horrible offense for todays NBA. People kept saying we needed BI for the playoffs- well we were in playoff type basketball and Zion dominated while BI was benched. I think his time here should be done.

BI will never win anything meaningful in his career. Everything he is good at is not valued in today’s NBA. SFs who can’t defend and don’t shoot 3s are the opposite of what the league is looking for. Just look at Demar Derozan, perfect example of what BI’s career will look like, putting up stats on a bad team while you continue to shoot your little midrange shot and play bad defense.

Missing shots doesn’t mean he didn’t play hard. Go back to football and return your Pelicans shirt.

It has been time to move on from CJ. His style doesn't fit, iso ball, dribble, dribble, dribble the entire game. High volume shooter with little output.

CJ would be better coming off the bench, but upper management wouldn't do that because now they (upper management) looks like idiots for giving him that much money. So what do we do, we play him even though he is hurting the team so that CJ is to blame.

BI is much better but he’s a bad fit with Zion because he doesn’t shoot enough 3s. His first two years here he shot 6 threes a game, last 3 years he under 4. If he would go back to shooting 6 a game it could work, but it’ll never be a good fit if he’s shooting 2-4 a game.

One person shooting 2 more three pointers per game moves the needle?

I don’t see it.

There were like 2-3 sequences where BI passed up a wide open 3 to just dribble it inside a clogged paint to shoot an extremely tough middie or turn it over in a do or die game. Low iq selfish player.

After that, i saw the light and want him gone like most of yall. Griffin better make some move or let him go this offseason
