Dude knows his role and won’t fire me shots, is a better defender and right now a better shooter from 3.

Tell me why I’m crazy.

CJs calmness and leadership is the main reason. Jose should definitely be out there instead of Graham. I love Jose.

Some of y’all never watched CJ in Portland.

He’ll be our 3rd option and be wide open.

All will be right when Slimi Hendrix returns.

You do realize that the defensive attention CJ receives is different from the ones Jose gets right? Jose is doing a great job in his role and he definitely deserves more minutes but CJ needs to be in the game to close it out.

Because you should want the better player, and CJ is clearly the better player.

Also remember, CJ is our 3rd option playing out of that role most games this season. We know he's not a #1 or even a #2, but when healthy he's a great #3 option.

IF...CJ is not in the game at closing time come playoff time, it will be because of his lousy defense...and if that is the case, his replacement will NOT be Jose

I said before the season started that the day would come by next season that Jose becomes better than CJ and we all end up acknowledging it. I always thought that it was possible this season.

We have reached peak overreaction.

This might be the worst thread of all the threads made since the loss last night.

I need to go back and find all the people who laughed and ridiculed me last year when I said that Jose was better than Graham -- all the people who said that Jose was too short to make it in the NBA.

So you’re saying that you said when CJ was averaging 25/6/6 that a guy who wasn’t even on a full-time contract was going to be better than CJ in less than a year?

You got anything else you can tell us?

CJ really needs his 3 to start falling. It’s weird the things I was concerned about with him coming into the season were playmaking and defense and I think he’s playing those areas better than he has ever in his career. I didn’t think we had to worry about his 3pt shooting and chucking shots buts he’s struggled in those areas. I think it’ll balance out. I’ve been really impressed with his defense, I can’t remember a time where he’s been picked on this season

CJ has been awful from 3 this year, there is no getting around that.

Jose might not be as skilled as CJ but he constantly plays winning basketball. If you told me we were spending big money for an athletic 5 and rolling with Jose as our PG I wouldn't worry for a second. I appreciate CJ and I think he will get back up to respectable 3 point % but like other said he is our 3rd option at best. Right now CJ is the worst 3 point shooter this year out of everyone who played meaningful minutes except Zion and I think Zion only shot one this year.

You can't deny Jose was a big part of the Pels even being in that game. I know +/- isn't a perfect stat but he was + 10 in that loss.

To clarify my position: I definitely still want CJ closing games right now. CJ's impact on the team goes way beyond what happens on the court. I think that he's over 50% of the reason that Zion signed the extension that he did. He's the vocal leader of the team right now.

I just think that there will be a time by sometime next season that Jose is better and we have to acknowledge it.

If that happens, that's really bad for us.

i don’t think CJs skills are going to decline that rapidly. his shot selection has been my only complaint but it’s also been understandable given the amount of injuries we’ve had

defensively i think he’s been holding his own which is all we really need him to do

I absolutely agree. It seems as though CJ wants to be part of the big 3 if you will and he takes very bad shots instead of hitting the open man.

Willie is scared of CJ. My opinion.
