I'd rather sit pat then give up the house on trying to win now with the injury situation and cost of players right now. No need to panic buy.

If healthy we are coming out the West, so burn up those assets fellow Western Conf brethren. Burn them up.

Delusional. Zion will never be healthy long enough to matter. We will get a 7th seed. Play well but get bounced in the 1st round but everyone will have just enough to hang their hat on “we would have won if we were healthy, wait until next year. Future is bright”. Then the same thing will happen. This is because Zion will never be healthy long enough to matter.

Need to move him as soon as we can. Cannot build around a player as unreliable as him. He’s a bonus player, not a core.

With this much movement and a short time for the league to acclimate, it won’t surprise me if some bargains are available. I

f the Pels are smart they should be able to improve with less cost than before these big moves. Just need to be smart.

I don't look at sending a young player (not Trey), salary filler, along with three firsts to Brooklyn for Bridges and Claxton as a panic move. The war chest means nothing if you don't use it. Bridges is 26 and Claxton is 23. They fill our two biggest needs and make us really, really good. I really don't see why we don't make this happen.

I feel like all these team are blowing their assets right now that when the next star comes up the only teams trying to win now and have assets left to throw at them would be like us, memphis and NY. PHX just blew their wad, BKN will be bad for a while, dallas cant move any picks.

Can Bridges and Claxton turn around and be traded right away? Would we have to join the PHX/BKN deal?

I see Griffin is trying to make moves but he’s not going to bend over easily.

I think we are connected to

Malik Beasley
Bones Hyland
OG Anuoby
Pascal Siakam

The thing is you have to at least explore Bridges and Claxton. Targeting them is not a panic move, it’s taking advantage of an opportunity that’s come up.

As much as I like Bridges and would try to get both, I think I’d look harder at Claxton because he solves a problem we don’t have many answers for.

Agreed on all accounts

Shoot for both then try for Claxton only if that doesn't work.

This.

I’m fine with kicking the tires on pieces that do what we need.

Less so on either a major overpay on a piece we need or blowing a lot on a marginal upgrade at best. (Toronto’s asking price on OG is insane IMHO given the level of upgrade he would be for us.)

Why would Brooklyn trade 2 excellent young players? Those are guys they can build on.

For more assets.

I'm not saying they will or should but if you offer Herb/Dyson plus 2 1sts, I imagine they at least think about it.

Not as good as Bridges/Claxton but they do get 2 solid young assets plus 2 additional draft assets. Maybe they counter asking for a 3rd 1st rounder.

Bridges and Claxton aren’t panic moves at all. Bridges is everything we want Herb to be. We would be very very dangerous with

Zion never plays. That's the problem. You guys are trying to change the color of the car, the tires, etc when the engine is the issue.

It works great when its working but more than half the time it doesn't start up. Whats the point?

okay? We’re still a lot better with bridges and Claxton… bridges is on a great contract and Claxton is cheap right now. Even without Z, this lineup is winning a lot more games than what we’re doing now
