If Zion & Brandon plays 90% of the games this year, do we make it to the playoffs?

If so, how far do the Pelicans go?

I just don't see how that is possible. It would be amazing for sure.

Somewhat off topic, there are tons of people making up trades. One site did an Ingram trade to the Knicks (LINK /). Sounds silly, but they had us getting Barrett as part of a nice package.

It just made me think, have we tried finding guys that Zion likes and wants to play with? I don't know if he's tight with Barrett. But they seemed to be cool. Could we find some guys or a guy he likes?

Yes.

Zion is a top 10 player when healthy and in shape and BI is a top 25 player.

Pelicans need to find a way to get another top 25 player.

Not really. Denver and Miami didn’t have 3 top 25 players. You need players to compliment them. We have 5 players that can easily drop 25+ if they want to. CJ, Trey, Zion, JV and BI.

I know you don’t want to hear this, but I could see Zion not starting the first game just as much as playing. I’m telling you. I can already hear rumors of a “setback” or some other bullshite during preseason.

Zion is a pariah. We should have packaged him during the draft but there was obviously no buyers. He’s damaged goods and everyone knows they can wait for an expiring if he turns out to be worth any kind of a shite.

We would be the # 2 seed in the West and make it to the the WCF, then have basically a 50/50 chance of advancing and being the favorite in the Finals.

Bruh why even post in a thread if you disregard the question and instantly change the topic? Maybe just make a thread instead of trying to hijack another dude’s

Absolutely, I could see Zion not being available for the first couple of weeks or longer for next year. Setback or re-injured and re-evaluate in 2 weeks.

You honestly have about a 65% chance of being right historically speaking

I’ve got no idea what Portland was offering, but if Scoot was in the deal and Herb and Trey weren’t, that would’ve been a green light special for me.

Just for the simple facts. We’ve supposedly wanted Scoot for 18 months, he supposedly would’ve liked to play here, and the desperation of appeasing Dame situation in Portland. Point guard is technically a need for the Pelicans. Salary cap aspect. Zion/Nike/rehab connection to Portland.

What are the odds those 6 positives line up/present themselves the next time we have to consider trading Zion?

It really felt like a get out of jail free card that may never present itself again. Unless Zion plays well, stays healthy, we still lose and he demands a trade (but not to some place w Shitty assets like New York).

If zion and Brandon play 90% of the games we finish in the 3-5th seed.

The odds of that happening?

10-30%

And prolly lose in conf finals. If everything were to go perfect I feel like we would still be that vet or something away. Maybe Larry could be that vet role. I would hope but who knows

I would not bet on it.

anything's possible.
that's about 70 games each.
15 or so with just one out.
7 or 8 with both out.

3rd. 3 6 match and if win then a stalwart #2.

when #1 Giannis missed games #8 Miami pushed them out.

its no sure thing no matter what seed.
enjoy each game.

do you appreciate it more if you have to wrestle curry and 100% Klay finally, 100% Wiggins and Jj jr and morant even to get to Denver.
that 6 seed in round one could be morant Jj and smart.
