Bad news trade with Lakers for AD
Lakers get Phoenix pick #6 for Ball.
We trade Lakers #4 pick and the #6 pick for Morant. Would you do this? Or use the 4 and 6 to get (just say) Garland and Hunter?

Why would Memphis do this?
Only way we get Morant is finding a way to get Memphis Barrett.

I think I would prefer Garland and Hunter over Morant.

How would something like:
LAL: AD(+solo?)
PHX: Ball+Lakers 2nd 2020
Pels: Ingram/Hart/Bridges/Warren+#4+2020 PHX first top 6 protected+Future Lakers First

For me, very poorly. I’ll take Kuzma/Ball/Hart/#4/unprotected 2021/protected top 10 2023 if we HAVE to do a Lakers deal. Slightly less than was offered at deadline. They get to keep Ingram. We get at least one of their picks if the Lebron/AD era goes to shite.
I’d much rather Barrett / Robinson / Picks centric package though. That’s got a higher ceiling starting 5 potential than a Lakers deal, though it comes at the cost of depth.
