re: How do any of the players acquired make sense for a Willie Green coached team?

think Willie is just a figurehead coach right now. The style of play and who plays will be up to Dumars, and if Willie doesn’t like it, he will gone.
If we are a franchise willing to have “just a figurehead coach” we aren’t committed to winning. Only horrible owners allow that scenario.

So is anyone thinking the Pels will have Borrego as interim head coach by December 1st?

Hes had one lottery team in his time here, and that was due to the whole goddamn team being hurt.
He’s had 2, 2023 when they lost in the play in and 2025.
The main thing to look at is 148-180 record as head coach. No excuses to keep him around.

So practically the whole board was begging the team to lose for the last 50 games, but you want to hold it against him that he delivered?

I have no problem at least giving Willie a chance to start the season with a newish roster and fresh perspective. I think it was pretty clear Griffin was given one last chance when he hired Willie Green and was told then to make it work or that's it - you aren't firing another coach.
Pretty certain Dumars will have a very short leash for Willie though so the team better come out strong to start the season.

How many of those games did he have his best two players available?
He easily has a winning record if zion averages even 60 games played a year.
Same with Ingram.

There was a game barely a month into the season where our top 8 players were out. Boston and JRE were trying to carry us. It was beyond crazy. But people were befuddled at the gameplan and pissed at Green for not being more competitive..

Why on earth would we draft players for a coach who should have been fired last year and will soon be fired this year? This team needed to draft the BPA and they did so twice.

None of them make much sense for a Zion-rostered team, either. Poole is the closest to a fit with Zion, and it's questionable at that.

Wait why doesn’t Poole fit?
Also this team would be insane to fit roster construction around Zion. He plays like 30 games a year

34% from 3
Ball-dominant
Terrible on defense
Oh, and he's paid $33M per year.

Agreed, but that decision needed to be made 3 years ago.
