Want to take my son to his first NBA game. Wanted to go Thursday night. Are the 300 sections really bad or should I bite the bullet and get something in the 100 section.

playoff atmosphere doesn’t matter where you sit. The most fun I had was in the upper upper uppers for game 7 against the spurs. Even though we lost had a fricking blast

My main complaint about uppers is the concourse. It’s kind of narrow and dark, it seems to me.

depends on your wallet
obviously lower bowl is better but the upper bowl at the blender is one of the best in the league

Lower level will always be better, but in general you can have fun wherever you sit. I would think I would shoot to atleast sit on the side of the court and not behind the goals, but anywhere will still be fun.

In general the Pels are some of the best value for your money in the area for the money.

I’ll be in row 1 in 305 for game 4. Never been to a Pels/hornets playoff game, so I’m excited to see the arena actually full and pumped up.

But I’ve sat just about everywhere except for courtside and I can’t really say I’ve ever had a bad view.

I don't enjoy the view from the ends, upper or lower, because I don't like the goal repeatedly blocking my view. BUT that's not a SKC problem but the same in any arena.

The corners offer the best view for the dollar.

I’ve sat in every level, and as long as you are on the sides, there’s not a bad view. Even along the baselines it’s not too bad, but not as good.

Check out the 3D seat map below. First row uppers might be the best value in the place. Great seats and you can get them for $15-20 regular season. Playoffs I’m sure are entirely different, but I’d guess after a playoff game, your son will want to come back.

Why is the default to assume upper bowl seats are “bad”?

First row uppers (at least on the sideline) had premium pricing for the playoffs when I looked. They were as much as some lowers ($105).

i had 1st row balcony season tix in 301 for several years...i moved to the lower bowl corner for about ten bucks a game more. those 1st row seats are really good seats

nobody in front of you

the atmosphere though is much better in the lowers
