except now we should have guys (Peja, Belinelli, Thornton, Ariza) who can actually hit those 3's

did you just include ariza as a good 3 point shooter?

Thornton 37% Ariza 33%. Not good for Ariza

Theres no room for Melo now that we have Ariza
Actually Ariza adds real value to a deal we'd do with Denver. He's more valuable to Denver than Collison would have been.

Im not saying we'd ever get Carmelo but this helps our chances, whatever they might have been

I like the deal though

We almost beat the spurs with morris peterson and peja starting..cmon now, with the teams in the western conference getting weaker compared to the powerhouse eartern conferences..we do have a good chance of making a run to the ship at least.

While I hate to see Collison go, we didnt need 2 solid PGs. We needed other help on this team and moving Collison helped us get rid of Posey and add a solid wing man to the roster. We would not have utilized Collison to his potential while allowing CP3 to get his minutes.

The Hornets got better today. If they use Peja's expiring correctly this team can contend.

Anyone pissed about us giving up a shot Melo is not living in the real world.

This means front office is certain Paul is staying.

I think the Hornets probably need to keep Peja's expiring to be able to afford MT5 next season.

No, this means the FO is certain Paul will give the team a chance to Win Now. If they don't build a contender trading DC will be looked back upon as a terrible decision.

Look, here's the way I see it.

The Demps and the organization absolutely had to make a move. Whether you agree or not, I believe that's reality. I'm sure they would have loved better value for Collison, but this was the best they could get.

Ariza and Belinelli are upgrades. I don't know how you can deny that. We're not a contender yet, but we knew that wasn't happening this year. I do think, assuming we can pick up a serviceable backup to Paul, this team can sniff the playoffs. I also believe more moves are coming before the trade deadline. Wwe will have cap space next season.

Give Demps and Williams a chance.

+1 We went from a team that would've struggled to get into the playoffs at least to a team that has a decent chance of making it today!

I like it!

yep. I like this deal. Good to see us making moves and you know they ran this by CP3 first, so this is what he wants. Whatever it takes to make CP3 happy, I support
