It absolutely does. If the hypothetical Beal trade were to happen (doubt it), Washington would MUCH prefer to not have to take Solo's salary back. The cap space allows us to make something like that happen.

Deal?
I would die laughing at the folks melting.

Why wouldn't Cleveland do it?

They just said on ESPN that there was no one Griffin loved @4.

Definitely don’t want Love’s contract.
Didn’t like the trade initially, but the NBA draft is a true crapshoot and the more chances we have the more likely we hit on someone. If we get Culver, this is a steal! That lets us take a swing on a guy like Bol or someone with ‘potential’.
I’m wondering if Griffin has a big FA he’s got in his pocket? Or maybe the trade for a young veteran fell through so he wants flexibility to be able to find and sign one in FA.
One thing is for sure, we have flipped from never having a pick to having more picks than we know what to do with.

Everybody blew Ainge and the Celts for years. Now we're the Celtics. Assets on assets. Such of breath of fresh air from Dell's constant scrapping by to keep our heads above water.

How protected is the Cavs pick?
Posted on 6/20/19 at 6:47 pm to LosLobos111
Surprised the hate the pick swap is getting.
Value wise, the gap between 4 and 8 this year is minimal. 17 can be a good spot to take a Center in this years draft. We wanted to dump the Hill contract to LA and we're still getting to.

When is the last time a team had 4 1sts?
Posted on 6/20/19 at 6:52 pm to Kingpenm3
Main time I can remember was the Bullets in the early 90s.
