Winslow played his best at the 4

38% 3 pt shooter last season

Has tons of potential, and under team control for 3 years

Also, he is only 22 years old

He would probably be more of a replacement for Wood than Ingram

An elite backup 4, and gives us essentially 2 elite 6th men in Redick and Winslow

If we can get a decent asset for that Cavs pick we %100 need to do that.

The best I would do is a lottery protected 1st, I try for top 20 protected though.

Other than that if I'm Griff I tell Presti want in one hand and **** in the other and let me know which one fills up first.

I don't know enough about Winslow. Someone compare him to Ingram for me.

I mean, there's an obvious body difference between the two which plays a big part in how they play the game.

Winslow improved his 3 point shoot significantly the last 2 years, and his defense has been great, and that's why he's got the contract he has now.
He's 6'7" 225 that can guard almost every position effectively, and since they've put him in more of a PG type role, he has gotten better.
He's a catch and shoot guy that isn't going to create for himself, but with the type of movement and pace we want to have on offense, I think he would excel.
Miami has finished 23rd and 27th in pace the last two years.

I'd trade Moore for him in a heartbeat.

That makes more sense. Griffin would have never said that on the record.

Just spitballing here, Houston seems to want Westbrook also

I wonder if Miami would be willing to take on CP3 to have a pairing with Butler??

Hou: Westbrook
Heat: CP3
NOP: Winslow
OKC: Dragic, Moore, Wood

Houston could send a couple 1sts and Miami remove the protections from their 1st, that should appease OKC IMO, and gets them WAY below the tax line

We would have to give up more than just Moore to land Winslow. Dude is a major candidate for MIP the way his game has progressed and he really starting hitting his stride last year. We would have to throw a real asset to get him, not just Moore and a fake first.

With that said, dude is a good young player on a great contract and if possible we should jump all over this.

Which would be a solid play, or Keep Winslow as an excellent 6th man option that is capable of running the second unit. He was used to run the offense in Miami a lot to end the year last year when Dragic got injured. He improved a lot as a shooter last year. He plays good defense and can guard the 1-3 positions. Hes built more solidly than Ingram ofcourse, but unlike Ingram he isnt ever going to be looked at as the top scoring option. He would be a third or fourth scoring option on a good team, but is a young, Playmaking, 3 and D player on a team friendly contract. So Id rather keep Ingram if he shows improvement and add Winslow to the core of young players.
I think He and Naw off the bench could work very well together.

He plays a role that we are thinnest at, and would be a perfect fit it appears. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't he fill the Moore role but younger with more length?
Before I get too excited, how likely is this?

I think the Pels need to be patient and hold onto all of the assets they just acquired. See what you have in the new players and rookies before trading firsts for anyone. You may not have the holes you think you have once everyone you currently have gets situated. Players like Jrue and Lonzo have enough size to guard up positions that you may want to run more 3 guard rotations with Redick and not have that many minutes for even a solid 3 and D SF.

I agree, but patience just isn't my thing lol
I think we are set up well for sustainable success, just greedy and looking at the CP3 situation, it seems with the cap issues teams have in dealing with it that we could really benefit as a 3rd team helping ourselves in keeping that trainwreck going

Hes not as knockdown of a 3 point shooter as Etwaunn right now but hes a better playmaker, defender, and athelete.
And as far of how likely it is... not really. If its true that Griffin was interested and they eventually try to clear some cap or pick up firsts we could help them with that and get back Winslow in return, then id say theres a chance. But it isnt likely, as far as we know it was just a rumor. But id love him on this team.

Could be worse.

Duke guys at least seem to be more structured and have an understanding of how to play.

Kentucky and Kansas guys, OTOH, tend to be a bunch of highly athletic dumbasses who couldn’t spell “cat” if you spotted them the C and A.
