It's a good read. Even if it doesn't work out it feels like the team is operating the right way and doing everything it can to maximize it's long term success. Contrast that with the Young Veterans approach which felt like employing a Win Now strategy about 2-3 years too early.
Even though Griffin seems to be thinking Win Now in some ways, just having expendable assets makes it feel different. Especially after seeing Boston never pull the trigger with it's war chest.

I'm really hoping what David Griffin is doing and the Zion effect translates into asses in the seats, but the team looks pretty good on paper.
I firmly believe we'll be in the playoff hunt this year for the 6-8 seeds. Favors trade and Reddick signing were absolutely huge.

The fact that we are the new Celtics, with the promising young core and tons of draft assets, shows me we really can't lose.

The article mentions we plan on developing NAW as a point guard(his preference) despite rostering Lonzo. Now I may be one of the few that really really likes Balls’ game and potential, but I find it hard to see both of them on the team together in the long term if NAW develops like we hope he does. Maybe NAW will be willing to play a combo style 2 guard at that point.

I like Lonzo's potential too. Both Lonzo and NAW fit longterm. I think NAW's role will be backup PG, but gets plenty minutes, like Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams, or Schroder. Ball and NAW both have good size, they can play together in certain lineups. Neither player will stunt the other players development.

I mean I think I just want to keep an open mind and not play favorites right now.
They both might fit, they both might not. One may fit and not the other.
I think one of the differentiating factors is that unlike in the Demps era you arent locked into either, as both look to retain positive value and should be easily moveable if fit or development curve becomes an issue. Since they aren't players you are paying top of the market value for on non-rookie deals. It's a good place to be and I'm just excited to see it all play out.

Beal seems like a no-brainer.
