Griffin: 4 players left town when they were told what the facility procedures would be

Griffin did a Zoom Conference call with the media today.

One of the more interesting tidbits was that they had 11 players "in market", and they did a conference call with all players about the heavy restrictions that would be on using the facility. Upon hearing this, 4 of the players left, believing that they could get far, far more work done on their own (and without the league restrictions) than they could at the facility.

We have 7 players coming in right now.

Players are allowed to work out an hour on floor, an hour in the weight room. One group of 4, another of 3.

That's it.

All other players have been instructed to stay put for now until whatever municipality they are in is more open.

Further:

In each group, one player is on one hoop, another on the other hoop, one in the training room, one in the weight room.

Zion and Kenrich got clearance from the league a little while ago and had already been receiving treatment. They have been rehabbing/working/getting treatment this entire shutdown (no court work until now though).

The NBA is virtue signaling for the world to see their heroic effort of saving everyone's life.

He didn't name names nor will he. The only two we know are there are Zion and Kenrich.

Zion "rehabbing" this entire time is a damned good thing. He couldn't do on court work but I'm assuming part of his rehab is working on his conditioning.

Just by limited social media I've seen from players, Jaxson, Melli and Josh Hart are also still in NOLA. Lonzo, Redick, Frank, and Jrue are definitely not.
Don't know about Favors, NAW, BI and the others

Honestly, I think its

JJ - obvious reasons
Lonzo - he's gonna be in LA with his people
Moore - can't wait to leave here IMHO
Favors - veteran things

Yep. Jrue’s trainer was posting videos from the 5th Circuit steps last week.

Also Zo needs to get his arse back here before his goofy brothers and dad frick him up with that ghetto lifting setup.

Factual. In fact, his mother has been here with them to play grandma to the baby.

HOWEVER, I’m almost sure Jrue has left. This past weekend they had a Mercedes Sprinter limo/camper type van (not part of his regular stable) out front and looked like it was being loaded up. My guess is, with states finally opening up, they’re going on vacation somewhere. Why stay here the entire quarantine just to leave at the facility announcement? So while he’s gone, it’s not for that reason. He’ll be back.

The odd thing, with the Sprinter being loaded up, his stable of the Raptor, Rover, and Escalade, were all missing. Even more odd, he has a 70s/80s teal El Camino parked in the garage. The only car in there.

Source: we’re practically neighbors.

Yea we've seen him and his fam biking around the neighborhood.

TBH I'm pretty surprised they are just now leaving, if they left.

If I had millions of dollars and no job to be doing I'd be getting the frick outta NOLA during this whole thing. Prob just rent some nice house on the beach somewhere for a month or two.

Restrictions are such horseshite

These are professional athletes in physical condition that we could only dream of. This thing would be a mild chest cold to them.
