Dyson Daniels making a large Year 1 to Year 2 leap would transform this team in a very positive way.

No we don't. And we took one last year in Dyson.

Zion Dyson Herb Murph and Ingram is the small ball lineup the front office wants to showcase but how do you get there, especially with the league getting bigger?

Not surprised. This free agent class for centers is really bad after the first couple of guys. Hayes is all about potential and he'll have suitors who can give him minutes to develop.

I still think #10 for a guy who doesn't know how to play center is funny lol

I don’t think he will ever be an adequate center, but I do think he’s an NBA rotational four if not more than that.

So everyone is ok of running the offense with cj?

He’s best as an off-ball guard.

Need a true point to eliminate that

The offense won't run through CJ, why in the world would you think it would?

That's what he'll be.

No, we don't since he won't be running the offense next season and we won't have a true PG on the roster.

It’s run by three guys-BI our best playmaker and most complete scorer, Zion our second best playmaker and best interior scorer, CJ our third best playmaker and best perimeter scorer.

We don’t need another guy who’s just going to cross halfcourt and pass it to one of those guys or to Val if he’s still on the team.

In our starting unit, Zion will bring the ball up the floor a lot. And last year, we saw BI make tremendous progress as a distributor. Even Herb's ballhandling has improved. So no, we don't need CJ to be a traditional PG -- he'll play off-ball a lot.

Then we have two quality reserve PGs in Jose and Dyson. We're set at that position. Really.

The offense clearly will run through Zion, with Bi as secondary creator. CJ will get some opportunities when they are on bench. You still have Jose, Dyson and even Herb all capable of initiating, not to mention running through Jonas if he’s still on the team. Ball handlers is one of the least of my concerns.

Quality big men, rim protection, defense and rebounding are pretty much 1-10 on the list at the moment.

We're one of the top teams in the league when it comes to assists. We don't need a traditional point guard. Our system is predicated on ball movement. What we need to do is to figure how to do is limit turnovers.

They need to shed at least $5-6m to do so.

That’s going to involve paying someone a lot to eat the contract of someone like Capela or Collins in exchange for a cheap piece and a huge TPE given the salaries on their roster.

Take that same trade, add Temple in it and a 1st to Atlanta and take back Bey also
would be pretty annoyed losing another first to acquire a big man. I know we’d get Bey in this scenario but still would be frustrating.

Man, I started going down this Capella black hole now. I’m not sure I realized he just turned 29 and had the rebounding numbers he has. I mean I knew he could rebound, but didn’t know he lead the league a couple seasons ago. Fun to think about a pick and roll in which a defender needs to choose standing in front of Zion or preventing a Capella lob, while Trey, BI and CJ space the floor. Oh the possibilities if Capella (and everyone else) is largely healthy.

Probably why almost every team was so inconsistent on offense and the playoffs sucked this year. The drama was exciting but the overall level of basketball on the court was pathetic.
