More than five weeks into his rehab from a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Eric Gordon is continuing to increase his workload in an attempt to avoid surgery and return to the New Orleans Pelicans. Monday brought about a day of more on the court drills, including shooting and passing sessions with assistant coach Bryan Gates after the Pelicans wrapped up team drills at their Metairie training facility.

This guy is honestly putting his body at risk in order to help the team. Lets not hate him so much for a bit, mmkay?

During one portion of Monday's session, the right-handed Gordon smoothly put up dozens of 3-pointers and took pull-up, mid-range jumpers with great success. At one point, he made seven of 10 3-pointers from the right corner, while showing no signs of a shoulder injury.

I really never thought I'd say this, but get well soon EG!

he is being well compensated for minimum production. let's not start handing out awards for selfless service just yet

Yea.... doc's saying rehab and go play as opposed to surgery. He doesn't get a ribbon just for doing his job

Jason Smith tried to play through the same injury and couldn't do it for long. He was praised. I'm not the biggest Gordon supporter but it shows that if you have a perception of someone you will stick to it I suppose.

I'd rather him just have the surgery and heal up. Playing through pain and getting hurt again won't help anything.

He's made of glass

very different situation between him a j-smoove. i'm not saying Gordon shouldn't be praised for it but let's not go overboard and say something to the effect of now can we stop hating on him. dude is injured all the time and has really given us no return on a max contract as of yet. this doesn't all of a sudden rectify the situation. i'm not gonna recommend him for sainthood just yet

heal up for what? he has one year left on his contract. so while we are in extreme need of depth we should just end his season? we still have a shot at the playoffs and need all hands on deck to even dream about possibly keeping our draft pick (which I don't think will happen). he owes us

Well his contract was one of the worst ever in nba but that would prob pencil it in as the worst if he misses the rest of the season.

Please excuse me for not agreeing with your plea for mercy. The guy is making $14M this year and produces like a minimum guy...the few times he's on the court.

The sooner his sorry arse is out of here the better.

Nope. There is no excuse for your vitriolic mob mentality.
