Trae is next to a DPOY candidate and they still can’t get back out of the play in.

Trae is overrated but I was told otherwise.

Ball dominant shot chucker who plays no defense.

He’s a better on ball defender than Herb and it’s not really close.

Will have to wait and see on this. Herb shot 34% from three his first two years in the league, blew up to 42% last season, and then came right back down to 31% prior to his season ending injury this year. Have to wait and see if last season was the outlier.

59.3% on FTs, dude.

Herb has only been below 80% once.

I feel confident that Dyson's never coming close to Herb's shooting (and that's saying something).

Dyson is not playable late in a playoff game with his Shaq-level shooting

I told yall we would regret that trade down the line. One freaking season later and here we are lol.

I’m 100% sure he’s gonna be first team all defense to this year. Major frickup by Griff.

WHo's the second best player Trae has played with? and he dragged a team with no #2 to the ECF.
We used the excuse constantly that we'll continue to be a playin team if BI or Zion are always hurt and it's just one of them. Well that's what Trae Young has had pretty much his entire time in ATL.

Now think about him playing next to Zion. ATL doesn't even have someone better than Trey Murphy. If Trae Young was in New Orleans he'd immediately be playing with a much better roster. Zion/Trey are a lot better than Hunter/Johnson. A LOT. Herb and Dyson are a wash. Capela isn't good, and Okongwu is undersized, and none of those guys can hit 3's except for Hunter.

I'm talking about jump shots, not free throws.

Same posters saying Trae is garbage are the same people that said DD wouldn’t amount to anything.

Griff should have went all in on getting Trae instead of Murray like I wanted in the offseason.

Maybe they take a package of BI and Herb and some firsts.

Trae DD Murphy Zion would have been a nice starting point.

The Dyson or Herb question is fairly simple...at least at the moment.

Both are GREAT defenders. A bit different for sure...but I would not have a problem with anybody that thinks Dyson is a better defender ...or that Herb is the better defender. It's that close.

Offensively...it's another matter. Herb has a solid edge over Dyson...at least at this point in their respective careers. I kept thinking Dyson was gonna improve as this season progressed...with all the "action" he was getting in Atlanta. It just never happened...for whatever reason.

I'm not sayin Dyson will not make a huge offensive leap next season but...watching him nearly every game this year...his overall offensive game development was quite discouraging.

Neither do waistbands, availability, or winning.

Man I absolutely love the ignorance in these threads. Especially comments like "in their respective careers...."

Too clarify how dumb some of you sound let me educate y'all:

HERB WAS STILL IN COLLEGE AT DYSON'S AGE IN THEIR "RESPECTIVE CAREERS"

Can't process that? Dyson could play 1 more full season and then the next year would be the START of comparing Herbs rookie season to Dyson's "rookie season".....

Herb was arguably just as bad or worse than Dyson his first 2 years as a whole. And was still 2 years older.

Herb started playing well on offense at 25 y/o. Dyson is 22 y/o.....

Herb is 4 1/2 years older. So add 4 1/2 years of experience to Dyson and THEN compare their stats from Herb's rookie season to Dyson's stats STARTING IN 2 YEARS.

Yeah process that and try to make any argument about Herb being better for any reason....

Herb arguably wasn't even better than Dyson 3 years ago, he just literally had 4 more years of experience and maturity.
