My god, what a performance. His defense tonight should be shown to any aspiring basketball player. It was nearly flawless, every rotation and decision was excellent. His rebounding was incredible, textbook boxing out and skying high for the board.

The kid is gonna be so good

That is my son. That draft was the first draft I’ve ever looked at prospects and I wanted Dyson from the jump. I fricking love his demeanor. The kid is a winner and it’s obvious

When he sticks like glue he doesn’t need to even score

I was told he sucked awhile back and we wouldn’t get anything for him in a trade tho….

I mean he did suck a while back. You act like Dyson has playing this type of basketball all season. Lets be real if this type of Dyson was playing all season we likely could have the 4 seed. Im elated hes took the next step but lets not act like Dyson has been playing like this all season and yes his value wasn’t much at the deadline either.

Someone here told me just a couple of weeks ago that we should trade him, because the chance was small that he would ever develop into an average offensive player.

False. He was being passive and hesitant on offense, but he has been an elite defender all year and has shown flashes of it since his rookie season.

27 days past his 21st bday, and he’s clamping the likes of Dearon Fox, Steph and Klay.

Guys like Dyson are pivotal in a playoff series

False. That passive/hesitancy was killing the offense. What Dyson is doing now is great. But back then again he was being an elite defender while killing the offense with several games below 10 points or many times less. That Dyson overall was not good and honestly not a sustainable NBA player.

lol what does a while back mean? You mean early his rookie year? Dude recently turned 21 and it’s his 2nd year, the frick does “a while back mean”??

It’s a bad idea to form your opinion of a player based off the first few weeks of there rookie season, I think that’s what you did.

His shooting has improved a ton, he’s made some big shots lately. I love this team.

Did you fricking watch the pelicans earlier this year or just hopped on the bandwagon after all star break??? Early this year. He was horrendous offensively. I could post stats where the guy had several games below 5 points. That statement was based on how he was playing at the time which wasn’t great offensively at all. Again Dyson now has been really good but to act like hes played like this all season shows the typical bandwagoner fans.

Gms 31-40: 43.8%

Better visual of it in 30-game sizes:

The defense and rebounding are already great. He needs to lock himself in a gym until he can shoot 36% from 3 and 75% from the line. He’s our small ball center, not Larry

He also plays expressionless. He’s like the Pels version of Rueben Randle.

Dyson just turned 21 y/o a few weeks ago.

Jordan Hawkins turns 22 y/o in 2 weeks.

Herb Jones was essentially 23 y/o when we drafted him.

And there are STILL people who doubt Dyson or his potential. The same people that questioned him as a 19y/o locking up Lebron and Doncic.

fricking idiots

Dyson is now shooting a very respectable 45% from the field. And while he's still shooting a poor 3 point percentage for the season, we are seeing some major improvements shooting it @ 50% on 2.9 attempts in April and a blistering 52.1% from the field this month.

What we are seeing is his development and things are starting to click for him. It's like Herb where he started to shoot very well to end the 2022/2023 season and ended up breaking out this season.
