He always has slow starts. Problem with Jrue is he is better off ball. We really need a PG who can dish and shoot. Ofc easier said than done, but it’d be nice to address that in FA or the draft if possible.

Thoughts? Jrue has struggled and clearly Brandon Ingram is a star in the making.

Why? so we can make 100 threads about how we need to trade the guy we traded Jrue for because he's not Michael Jordan after 6 games with the team? or 100 threads on trading BI if he doesn't keep up the pace he's on all season? Hell wheres the Trade Zion threads at? That bum hasn't even scores a basket all season.

Slow y'alls roll and let Griffin do his job. He's only begun to build this team. Right now he's spreading all the pieces of the puzzle out and seeing how they look and may fit, Maybe some of these pieces don't fit and belong to a different puzzle.
I know it's been a while but everyone should breath a little and lower their expectations for this season. Not making the playoffs or even finishing dead last isn't a terrible thing if they are laying a solid foundation.
Most of you guys just saw Zion and immediately jumped to championship. It doesn't work like that and if you were paying attention to Griffin you would know that and not be so impatient.

These Zion bandwagon fans have made this board insufferable.

I mean, Zo is an elite facilitator and his shot is getting better

I assume he would want to trade Zo, for I dunno, Zo?

Lord knows. I don't think he fits in with this team long term. His shooting is way too inconsistent.

The whole premise is dumb. They have been and will continue to build around Zion Williamson. Every big move is and will be made with an eye to being able to surround Zion with a great team 5 years from now.

This board needs to chill out and think about the next 3-5 years, instead of every minute of every game.

Jrue won’t be on this team in 5 years.

Yay, corndeaux. This season isn’t about contending for the title. It’s about laying the groundwork for a run at the Trophy.

Most likely

That doesn't mean you trade him as soon as possible because he's been poorer than expected so far and won't be a core player for the next good Pels team. He's a good player on a reasonable deal for another couple of years. You have to bridge the gap and raise the floor of the team w/ good players, even if they aren't pieces for the next decade.

They should absolutely be open to moving him down the line, but it has to be for a deal that helps build around Zion. They don't need more picks and they still aren't sure what exactly Zion will be. What's the rush? Why pull a Demps?

I'm sorry some Pels fans flapped too hard to summer league, preseason, and excellent PR from Griffin. The future is bright for the Pels, just need to be patient.

How about considering the sample size? He won’t sustain this level of efficiency.

Over half the team won't be, should we deal all those dudes for more guys who won't be on the team in 5 years?

Jrue is a good player I just don’t think he should be the guy you let create the offense

We don't necessarily know that. In 7 games this season he's shooting 39% on 6.3 attempts per game. I'd actually argue that most of his life, he's been a pretty consistent 3 pt shooter, and his rookie NBA season could possibly be an outlier

what's wrong with Jrue thread. Was this needed?

Jrue and AD are the same type players. They're not alpha players. It took Rondo to come here to bring the dog out in them. AD and Jrue are better with Aplha players like Lebron. Ingram is an alpha, and the Pels better keep him.

they will. Even if we play like arse the rest of the way. I think having Zion and the other young pieces would encourage Ingram to stay and take max money.

I mean, Ingram is a RFA and, if we pay him, really doesn't have a choice.

Apparently, if we get rid of Jrue and fire Gentry, the O’Brien Trophy is a lock.
