Do you trade Jrue at the deadline and build around Zion and BI?

Thoughts? Jrue has struggled and clearly Brandon Ingram is a star in the making.

I think BI is showing terrific promise, but I’m not convinced he’s a transformational player.

What do you consist of being a transformational player? Guy is averaging 28 and 8 this season. Defense has gotten way better, but I am scared of the people surrounding him. Need better shooters to make him even more efficient.

there's literally 2 threads on Jrue trades that are more than a page, as well as a what's wrong with Jrue thread. Was this needed?

Yea... one consists on who to build around, one consists of just a Jrue trade.

Trade him for what though? You need some vets. We don't need three average players for him. The roster is pretty deep as it is.

More draft picks? We already have a ton. Maybe if you just get this huge warchest you can turn into a superstar but that seems unlikely.

1) Depends on how hes playing and if he actually steps up to be the leader he says he would be

2) Would depend on the offers

I’m gonna give our reliable, talented, proven PG on a good contract more than 7 games before writing him off.

A team in contention like the Bucks, Pacers, Nuggets, Jazz, Mavericks, would pay a pretty penny for him. I'm not saying trade him, but if Ingram is taking this giant leap forward he is your franchise guy moving forward along side Zion.

This team is not going anywhere this year, so you will have him at a year older with 2 years left on his contract. He is worth way more right now than he will be in the next couple of years. I am not writing him off, but he aint the guy you build around.

Draft picks and expiring contracts most likely. Teams in contention would love to have a guy like Jrue.

No but I’d trade Lonzo and whatever else I have to to get Bradley Beal. A core of Beal, BI and Zion is promising

would hate to give up Jrue for a late round pick and some bozos. Expiring contracts don’t do anything for us this offseason.

Have to wait until the offseason to do that, same with McCollum.

Money for the off season is what expiring contracts do.

I really do not hate Lonzo. Keep in mind he is 21 years old and is actually improving. If the money is right, I would not mind this guy being the PG with Zion and BI as the 3 and 4. He would flourish with Zion on the court.

I’m aware but the 2020 Free agency class is pretty damn weak. No point in giving up Jrue this season in hopes to overpay guys in their 30s

What do you mean? Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon are free agents! Maybe a reunion with those 2 clowns! Screw both of them, good point though not much out there. Unless Griffin is blown away with a deal he will not go anywhere, but it is a good idea to listen because his name will be brought up at the deadline.
