It was almost unanimous that we fleeced them lol. I called it a trash trade when it happened and was told I couldn’t possibly be so stupid.

This was the biggest frick-up of Griffin's tenure. He should have built a normal roster and made Zion adapt and grow. Instead, he tried to build a roster around Zion's many flaws and we pay the price every time he gets fat or injured.

What? Seriously, how? When we had players who didn't fit with Zion, such as Stevan Adams, was the team supposed to magically make Zion a sniper from 3?

No, but he should be different in year 6 than he was in year 1.

You realize he has a higher FG percentage this season than Murray has ever had in a season in his career?

I think Murray is a good player and will help. That being said, I wasn’t including DD in a trade for Murray.

I was on team Trae and for him I would have probably included DD.

I loved Dyson but he was tough to play in our system. He was a Herb with less scoring ability. We needed a PG. It was a good trade and I’m glad Dyson is doing well. This is the least of this teams problems.

We needed shooters and ball handlers to put around Zion. Dyson is neither.

New Orleans traded Dyson Daniels and he immediately became a Kawhi/Pippen hybrid… TOUGH BEAT

It’s why I said you never trade someone with elite level defense at 20…..

We should have been developing the other aspects of his game.

Up here...I watch every Hawks game. It's amazing what a bit of confidence can do for a young player. Dyson looks like a totally different player on the offensive end. He's off and running again today...with 10 points in the first 6 minutes.

BTW: His over/under point total was still only 14 1/2 for today's game. I plan on riding the "over" on Dyson until Vegas makes an adjustment.

Not one of Dyson’s best games tonight. 5-17 overall and 1-5 from 3. In crunch time missed two easy bunnies and one really bad turnover. Meanwhile Shaedon Sharpe looked really good with 31 points.

Like I said- it’ll be interesting to see how teams adjust to Dyson now that hes someone who has the ability to score and how Dyson adjusts to the defenses being thrown at him.

He scored 12. I don’t think its a good idea to start betting on Dyson Daniels scoring numbers.

Has 10 points 6 minutes into the game...then scored 2 points over the next 3 1/2 quarters. He was absolutely horrible today...after that fast start. Still got up 17 shots...which is a bunch. Counting today, the last 5 games he has taken 17,15,21,14 and 17 shots per game. Has scored 18,16,28,25 & 12...in those 5 games.

Bottom line...there's a reason they call it gambling...but he's covered the "over" on points for 4 of the last 5 games so...IF he continues to get up 17 or so shots per game...I'll keep hammering the over 14 1/2 points...although a coupla more absolutely horrible games like today's...and I'll definitely reconsider my current plan regarding wagering on Dyson.

There's only so much development that can happen without playing in games. Dyson was not good enough offensively to play consistent minutes for us last year. Atlanta is a much better fit for him, as he can operate with much more space next to an elite passer in Trae Young. Good for him, I'm glad he's doing well.

Right

The issue is we are/were not a good team but operated like a good team. Not saying that was wrong, but that is what happened.

Meaning, a team like the Nuggets the past couple of seasons, they're good, they know they'll be a top level seed, so they can give minutes to Braun and Watson and other youngsters, to ensure they can develop.

We are not good enough. We can not give young guys the minutes they need, like with Hawkins, so we can max out and do as much winning as possible...and yet still top out as a play in team, even with above average healthy compared to the rest of the league for our best players.
