Great trade. This proves that J-Smith is the 5 of the future.

If there was a better offer on the table for Ariza, sure.

These are the same guys that thought we'd get 2 1sts for Kaman.

Eternal trade optimists.

Yeah, the 247 Twitter guy keeps talking about the trade as if Ariza wasn't included. Not to mention we got another pick.

That's retarded

well, anytime you are paying someone $14M not to play, you can't get an A

McNamara is one of the biggest douchebags in the world. He used to post on HR as CP3&11Others claiming all of this inside info, and he was completely exposed as not knowing shite.

He's just some twerp kid, actually. I really can't stand him.

Well, the alternative would be to pay Okafor to not play, still have Ariza's contract, and not have the #46.

Didn't the LSU 247 site actually hire David Folse? I'm pretty sure I decided 247 was useless when I heard that.

If we draft Meyers Leonard, the wingspans in our starting lineup:

Eric Gordon: 6'9"
Al-Farouq Aminu: 7'3.25"
Anthony Davis: 7'5.5"
Meyers Leonard: 7'3"

THAT is a long lineup. Damn.

Dell and Monty have a plan that we are about to see unfold in the next few years

Well on a positive note, he did improve a little bit over the season.

He was a lottery pick. He's talented. He played decent at the end of last year.

Its time for him in his 3rd year to play extensive minutes after a full offseason with Monty to see what we've got.

You play him, if he plays average to good, then we are set. If he doesn't work out, then he doesn't work out and you trade him or just let him go.

While I appreciate everything Hornets 24/7 does, I disagree with their analysis of the trade.

I get that amnestying OK4 next summer produces the same "dead" money effect and cap flexibility as paying Lewis $13 mill to go home.

But, they completely ignore the fact that we got rid of Ariza as well. I guess the question becomes could we have gotten rid of Ariza in another trade that would have netted us more?

the key is the hornets might not pay Lewis money to go home. Super valuable trade chip, that expires July 1. A team may panic and dump an all star in Hornets lap
