I’m so glad I don’t have to hear people say “we need more time to see these two players together” after tonight. The sample size was enough to know they wouldn’t work together. Both are ball dominant inside the perimeter shot taking players. Zion thrives offensively when there’s pace meanwhile BI plays very slow and methodical. It never worked as well as people wanted it to. Yes I can blame griff for fricking up and green is also a proven idiot.

Lakers got Luka for broken AD and we got some M&Ms for prime AD? How is Griff employed?

Griff doesn't know how to capitalize on assets like the Thunder's GM do. Thats why the Thunder have Shai for George and five first round picks. While we didn't end up with the #2 pick for ingram

Deal is not yet official, still time to flip Brown and KO if we want to other teams

I would see if we could trade Olynyk to the suns and take on nurkic for a 1st or 2. Same contract length, a little more expensive , pretty washed, but we collect a couple more assets.

A little more expensive? Nurkic is almost 6 million more expensive, and would put at the 1st apron dude..

Now one team I would be trying to flip Bruce to would be Milwaukee, Brook Lopez has the same exact salary to the dollar, we could probably get them to throw in a pick or a swap in the deal.

We suck this year due to injuries. We will suck moving forward due to a lack of talent. We're also going to see chemistry go to shite in the next few weeks.

The team has zero chemistry now.

I fricking hate David Griffin but to at least get a 1st for a player that needed to go is ok with me. Paying BI anything over 40+ per season (which he will likely get) would be terrible. BI would never be the difference for the organization. He's anti-clutch, won't shoot 3's, ball stopper etc that will keep you as a treadmill team. It was time to go.

Another possibility we can flip Bruce Brown for. Give Memphis an expiring, and we can worry about shedding salary in the offseason

the Anthony Davis haul looks sadder and sadder, meanwhile the Lakers flipped Davis for Luka and a first

The haul for Davis was good, Griff just screwed it up. The Luka thing is straight up robbery that should have been vetoed by ownership, except it sounds like ownership bought the team for non basketball reasons and would benefit from them being worse.

It was a good haul. Griffin had opportunities to flip Ball and Ingram for nice values.

But at the end of the day, the Davis trade netted us Murray, Brown, olynk, 1st and a 2nd

The haul for Davis was good,

It was pretty historic and still is.

Ingram
Ball
Hart

#4 pick. If we use some hindsight bias, Garland or Hunter being #4 leads to a pretty history hall.

Ball
Ingram
Hart
Hunter

or

Garland
Ball
Ingram
Hart

That's 80% of a solid starting 5 either way

A lot of the other picks wouldn't have amounted to much, because that's how 1st round picks work in the NBA (they've become largely over-valued)
