What on earth do you expect from Jonas?

TBF aside from the occasional game like tonight, Jonas has not been playing as well. The league has just evolved to really hunt guys like JV that can’t switch or close out and get back. Problem is, Billy isn’t any better in that regard…

And basically everything Billy does(or is vulnerable to being exploited by), Jonas is better at. And in some case, a lot better

Billy is a good rebounder and a nice dump off scorer. As a starter he’s averaged 14-10.

But he’s a literal sieve defensively. He just can’t protect the interior. like at all. So despite his rebounding and solid offense, he’s like a -7 as a starter.

Reminds me of a slightly less skilled Okafor in that regard.

Seriously, dude? It's f'ing Detroit. Detroit.

JV will get cooked in the playoffs, and anyone with a brain knows that.

Should have been expected given no Zion vs Zion back.

The games without Zion he's been much better, more like the Jval of last season.

For the season, when Jval is on court and Zion off, Jval is putting up 22/13 per 36.

Your point was that Billy should get more minutes because Val wasn't playing that great now you talking about Val getting cooked in the playoffs which has nothing to do with the subject at hand and guess what Billy would be even worse in the playoffs. So since your such a big basketball brain tell us how Billy should get more minutes with his Defensive flaws.

Val is absolutely going to abuse teams in the playoffs outside of Memphis and Phoenix. No other playoff team has bigs that can handle him

Euro is a big step down from the NBA. Not degrading Willy at all, he’s a damn good #2 center in this league and I understand why he’s upset. He should be getting minutes but Nance just plays the small ball 5 so well it hasn’t happened. I want to keep Willy but if he wants out then you look and see what we can get but every team needs a 3rd center and he is ours. If Jonas goes down it would be Willy starting over Nance so the Pels do value him.

I can’t fault him for wanting to play and maybe find an opportunity elsewhere, on the other hand he’s just not that good to play for us most nights

And yet we needed JV to go berserk to squeak by. Glad he's on the team personally.

Congrats to Billy for being the first public malcontent for the Pels this season.

Even Jaxson Hayes didn’t do that when he was getting zero minutes for weeks.

We could probably trade him straight-up for Daniel Gafford, who could be the rim protector we lack. Gafford's extension kicks in next season, and he's not worth what he'll make, but that's also why the Wizards will make that deal with us.

Not a chance the Wizards would trade Gafford for Willie straight up.

And anyone with a brain would know that Billy would likely not even get on the floor in the playoffs.

Denver.

But point still stands. Jonas gets way too much shite on here for the production he is giving us.

Every week there is basically a frick Jonas thread or post and within that same week he usually carries us to victory.

He’s our best offensive player about 10-15 games a year. I’m not sure we even make the playoffs without him on this roster considering CJ’s variance, Zion’s injuries and Brandon Ingram’s injuries.

Jonas is one of the best valued contracts in the nba. He makes $15M a year and he completely takes over a game basically once a week. I know he can’t guard Ayton or switch on guards, but if he could do that, on top of what he can do offensively, he’d be getting paid $40M a year.

Jonas being the fourth option who can give you 30+ is so undervalued on this board, generally speaking.

For another season, he’s stepping up when called upon. Thanks to our Top 2. He’s basically 7ft 275 Lithuanian Jim Gordon. There when you need him.

Not to mention he is durable.
He has played more in 3 seasons for the Pels than BI has played in his career.

Bumping this one since it pertains to Willy.

He’s always tweeting cryptic things pretty much saying he wants more playing time. He just tweeted an hourglass with a gorilla (Suns mascot)

Could mean something, likely means nothing, but never know. LINK

It would have to be a great deal for us to take a Suns player with all the animosity between the two teams and the importance the franchise has put on a healthy locker room.
