At what point dos availability override talent and potential?

We're not there yet. We probably won't be there this season period, regardless of when Zion and BI come back.

But there's going to be a point in the future, if this keep repeating that their inability to be on the floor is going to override their talent and the team's potential and we'll have to make a move.

Otherwise, we're just the Clippers. Two stars who you can't rely on to stay healthy and bunch of good role players.

Good, but not a legit title threat.

I don't know if we're just unlucky or if this is just the new NBA.

I'm already completely fed up with the NFL due to officiating and the incompetence of Goodell. But the constant injuries and extended absences of players for seemingly not so serious injuries is really pushing me to my limit on the NBA now too.

And I do see it's not just a Pels issue. Half the stars in the league are out for weeks at a stretch.

The next CBA has to have some kind of injury provision built in that protects teams from these guys milking injuries without being able to hide behind "mental health."

TL/DR The NBA and all the stupid injuries is pissing me off.

A lockout is on the table over just the above. Owners want some sort of recouperating costs for people mentally well to sign the 155 million dollar contract, then all of a sudden cant operate on a basketball court for "reasons."

Ben Simmons is such a little bitch but he laid the groundwork. That Naomi whatever tennis chick too.

This shite is so stupid.

If they both miss 25-30 or more games again next season, it's going to be a real problem. That would be 3 seasons in a row. We're not there yet, but next season should be very telling.

The issue is, there's not much we can do about it, just gotta hope for the best.

I think a lot depends on how the team feels about how BI has handled this. If they think he should be out playing already that may change his untouchable status in trades.

Also, Zion did start uncorking his midrange game in the game he got hurt. If he does that, it should reduce his wear and tear. So the team probably believes there are ways to increase Zion's availability. Ingram, 2 freak collisions and he's already missed 30 games and counting. How do you limit that?

History says that both will. I know its weird to say but I have much less faith in BI and injuries at this point than Zion.

25-30 games? We would be lucky if that’s all they missed. Zion is averaging way more than that

But it's freak accidents that should have been 15ish(?) games missed for a normal player but has turned into twice that many because of the player. At this point I would just like our guys to miss a normal timeframe of what the injury typically requires, not double. That, imo, you can fix.

I just don't get it. You have an incredible job that pays you an obscene amount of money and you just don't want to play. Hopefully a night like last night will make B.I. see the shape that the team is actually in and that if he doesn't get out there, they are going to sink. Seems like that would be some motivation.

iwy,
youre making shite up about ingram.
stop.
his career is in the balance. if this season isnt at least a round two tussle with highlights of ingram and zion winning games hes going to be thought of less. legacy becomes way less. there goes that job on espn.
his play vs suns is considered top tier.
he needs that. to get picked by fans for all star.

Should have traded for Kevin Durant and sent BI packing.

Dude, he's probably my favorite player in the NBA. This is first time that I've actually been kind of critical about him on here. Go back and read all of my post if you don't believe me. And I'm not bitching about it, I'm reading into his own words. He's kind of said it himself that it is mental, not physical. The same as street clothes was with his last injury. I'm not making anything up. How about you tell the other people on here that are calling him a pussy and a bitch for not playing to stop.

He's only 25 years old. If he's currently thinking about a job at ESPN, then we are in trouble. If he wants to leave a legacy, he has to play. I also don't think my one comment on Tigerdroppings is going to have anything to do with his legacy.

He doesn't deserve to be an all-star. I voted for him on Twitter every year that he's been here, except this year. I voted for Zion and CJ this year. I would love for B.I. to be an all-star, but there are a bunch of players that deserve it more than him.

Again, KD was never going to agree to come here, and Griff was never going to trade for KD without KD agreeing to come here.

Meaning, this never had a chance to go down.

So play less than half the games and collect the equivalent of $200 Million over 3 years ...

When you're actually contending (Houston - cp3/harden) and it affects you in the playoffs.

That's when you blow it up. For now regular season when your team can stay afloat you have a luxury

BI and ZW are too young to be constantly hobbled year after year. Does not bode well for another reasonable career length ...

We’re not at that point yet. But if BI and Z miss 30 or more games next year, yeah it’s gonna be a problem
