I don't mind giving up Daniels. We picked Herb over him. His offense still sucks.

I don't know why you guys have to blemish the truth. He wasn't great offensively, but he definitely didn't suck.

nobody said he sucked.

his offense sucks, which it still does.

The only difference is while the Pelicans made him live on the outside & mainly take 3s (which he's mediocre at), Hawks are allowing the offense to flow through him at times and Young setting him up: which allows him to slash, attack, and actually get himself into some easier situations

No we didn’t. We made a bad trade that someone on here tried to say so and got downvoted into oblivion but was 100% right about….

We should have both DD and Herb

Just say the word and I’ll be glad to bump the thread to embarrass most of the posters on here….

Herb jones is barely a better offensive player than Daniels, if at all. He is 5 years older, too.

Shamit has previously posted the data showing just how markedly better our offense has been when Herb is on the court. Herb does so many little things well that don't show up on the stat sheet (like setting interior screens for Zion or Trey). And of course, Herb is an elite offensive player on the fast break, and his defense generates a lot more fastbreak opportunities.

DD wants the bag too. I just read a blurb about he and the Hawks are far away from an extension.

That’s kinda what all you haters can hang on to at this point. He hits a better ft percentage, he’s probably at 16/17 ppg next year. Man that’s horrible.

Griff gave away the best defensive wing in the league who probably shoukd have won DPOY during his 21 year old season. Collosssl frick up this organization.

So something hes never done has to change. Got it.

Griff gave away

He traded him for a more polished version and better offensive player that suffered two catastrophic injuries. Nothing was given away.

Ah yes, with him being defensive player of the year I'm sure paired with Trae they made the playoffs and made noise!

Oh wait. They didnt. Defense is overrated in modern nba. Give me shot makers.

I'd also like to add hes a complete liability in crunch time when you need offense.

Like that 39% Murray shot last year?

He’s doing stuff on the defensive side of the ball that’s never been done at his age. It’s not like he’s a finished product. Just 22. What was Herb doing on offense at that age?

Keep dying on this hill, just take the L that you were dead wrong about the trade.

Murray was brought in to be a offensive initiator, him shooting a career low on a team starting Jr fricking e isnt the gotcha you think it is.

Sure, he doesnt have it between the ears, you know this, and again, didnt fit our timeline. The idea was to win playoff series with Ingram Trey Zion and DJ. every single one of those players got hurt.

And even still, Dyson having a career year for him had the Hawks not making the playoffs. Even with him being a supposed dpoty.

Your only hope is that he becomes something he hasn't shown. Good luck with that. He had the worst plus minus on the TEAM against the heat in the last play in game.

The Hawks are also going to have to give him 9 figures to keep him, and no one in the league would pay a non scoring guard that kind of money.

I will be Interested to see what contract he gets.

Dyson is still very young and is a beast on defense.

I don't think pels were ever going to keep both him and Herb.

I wonder who else Griff could've traded Dyson and tje pick for
