Ainge just has to be convinced that they can win.

I'd like Brown, but if given the either/or I take the pick.

But I want Smart.

And Smart. There’s nothing that says he has to be part of deal.

Uh yeah, one of Smart or Brown needs to be involved.

They can’t win if they trade their whole team for AD and don’t have another star to pair him with.

RP and the Lakers are desperate. They likely gonna miss out on all the first tier free agents. And if they happen to sign say a jimmy butler, they won’t have the cap room next year. If they don’t sign anyone this offseason, Lebron is gonna want out. They have to get AD right now or it won’t happen.

No telling what’s going to happen with the knicks, they may get KD or they may strike out like every year....

Looks like Durant might be in bad shape. If it’s as bad as it seems I think he stays in GSW.

If he stays I wonder how that effects things.

You. Just now.

You’re acting like Ainge won’t have a great plan to put a super competitive team around him. He will bet on an elite organization and himself.

It’s been a meme recently that the Celtics won’t have anything left and will be screwed. Ainge is either an elite GM or he isn’t.

Ainge is a fine GM but for months now you have been conceptualizing deals with the idea that Kyrie would stay put

Now if he’s not there and they trade a heap of assets for AD, you can be the greatest GM in the world, but if you don’t have any ammo your hands are tied.

When something is too good to be true bunchie it usually is. There’s a direct conflict of interest in the statement that your naive arse is eating up. Has faith in his roster even if Kyrie doesn’t sign. Yet every Pels fan thinks we are gutting their team. Something has to give and my guess is he isn’t stupid enough to give up all his young players for 1 year of AD

You won’t be able to keep Jaylen if Griffin is able to get the framework he wants. All 3 of Tatum, Brown and Memphis pick will need to go out.

I’m not saying Griffin will get what he wants, but if the Knicks or Lakers can make it happen Boston would need to be all in too.

In fairness, you can't assume Ainge will have to sell the farm to us to get AD and then somehow be able to build a team around AD with limited assets.

Would every team really pass on giving KD a max with a torn achilles?

I take your point but I don’t think Ainge sees it that way of reports are to be believed.

If the Lakers package gets us Ingram and Beal and picks I can somewhat live with it.

But I still hope he looks elsewhere.

I think it’ll be more about Durant. He will want to stay put.
