If all it costs is the 6, I don't think I'd mind if Burke doesn't fall.
However, I think I'd like Bazz more than Derozan.
I think I really want them to trade this pick. Somehow. Some Way. Trade and end up w/ a vet & in the teens to get a steal. Or it could just be that I want to them end up w/ 2 1st rounders b/c we won't be in the lottery for a few more years.

Ya know, I was hyping Derozan but I think I agree. Corndog made a good point; similar players, just save the money. At least Bazz can shoot it, too.

I'm not sold on the top of this draft class. We were talking down about it forever and now all of a sudden the top is good? I think they'll be solid players but it says something that 1-5 seems pretty interchangeable based on draft order and team need. Also, only one of the 5 has ever really been labeled as a guy with "star potential", and he's got so much potential he's not the clear cut number 1. There's a reason so many teams are looking to trade down.

If you told me i could get a nice veteran player then add a guy in the draft like (I like the bolded guys later in the draft)
(PGs) MCW, Larkin, Schroeder, Pierre Jackson
(SGs) Caldwell-Pope, Franklin or Glen Rice
(C)Dieng, Olynk, Zeller, Adams
(INT) Saric, Gobert, Karasev
Karasev is a guy we haven't talked about but is supposedly an NBA ready SF according to Chad Ford

Id love to somehow get the Dallas pick. I think they will let it go rather cheap.
Shabazz has fallen here in quite a few mocks, also could get a Saric, MCW, maybe a McCollum.
I think CJ Leslie will be a NBA player. Always been impressed with him and he wowed everyone at the combine.
If we could move the 6th for say both Thunder picks, Id like that.

Marion's also said he won't report if he gets traded to a bad team.
Sounds like win-win for me, given that Stern can suspend him indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the NBA." If he's suspended, we don't have to pay him.

Today, yes. But July 2nd if CP3 has resigned with the Clippers and Demps doesn't see a Ryan Anderson on the market then maybe picking up Saric, or Schroeder or MCW for Marion will make sense depending on who we drafted at 6. It's certainly not something you do before the draft, but if your primary options are gone it's something to consider. Maybe at the deadline you can package Marion, Vasquez and the 2014 pick for a disgruntled star player.

I wouldn't want to package our 2014 pick unless we are on the playoff bubble. That draft is stacked as frick. It would need to have some heavy protection.

How about moving up in the draft instead? Cleveland and Orlando are both looking to move their picks, what would it take to move up and make sure we get either Porter or Mclemore?
