Brotha, it’s the fact that that you say things like “some of y’all haven’t haven’t watched the Magic and it shows.” You really think that you are privy to info, film, and knowledge that the other 29 teams aren’t, or that you are smarter than all other NBA GM’s because you had NBA Pass on your smart phone?

quote:The big knock on him in the draft was that many teams felt he did not really love the game. He did not put in the time or effort. Supposedly the Pistons wanted to trade for him last year but there was a medical issue.
He was a plus defender on a bad team Brotha and he’s 23.
Could be a personality thing? Could’ve been a contract dispute? Could’ve wanted more of a role? Who knows bro? I aint There. You ain’t there.
Film doesn’t lie though Brotha. He was a solid player last year. He’s easily a $5M a year type rotational piece.
I know the majority of you guys are casuals and don’t watch anything outside of Pels games and especially not Orlando Magic games.
That’s why I’m here to fill in the gaps. Y’all just like to bash people for no reason and act like they couldn’t play a helpful role on the Pels.
Stop reading press releases, watch the film and get back to me Brotha.

Cleaning the Glass says that the Magic were a net -4.7 points per 100 possessions when Bol was on the court, and they were only -1.0 points when he was off the court.
His offensive BPM was -1.8 last season. From 3-pt range, he took 1.6 shots per game and hit 27%% of them, up from 25% the season before.
He's a decent NBA defender who is an absolute disaster on the offensive end. Matkovic will be better.

Sources: The Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics are finalizing a three-team trade: - Mavs: Grant Williams - Spurs: Reggie Bullock and an unprotected Dallas pick swap in 2030 - Celtics: Multiple second-round picks
Dallas is doing pretty good this offseason

The Grant Williams part of this deal barely registered with me. I'm shocked that the Spurs got an unprotected pick swap in 7 years just to eat an expiring $10 million contract.

So many teams in the west improving their rosters

Last year the Pels needed a 3rd big and a shooter. When healthy, those were the only roster holes, and they were probably slots 7 and 9 in the rotation at the highest. They added those in Hawkins and Zeller, and I don't think they're done with trying to make moves in that direction.
I know what you're going to say next. The Pels are never healthy. Well if the Pels core can't stay healthy, then it doesn't matter what moves they made on the margins, does it? That's why so many people wanted to move one of BI/Zion for Scoot. Because everything else is meaningless bitching about moving or not moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

I’m just tired of the lack of risks one way or the other. But I’d imagine next summer we’ll see some movement no matter what

Minnesota took big risks last offseason. How is that working out for them?

Have to know what the lay of the land is with regards to what we can feasibly get and what ownership will pay for.
I’d loved to have gotten Scoot but none of us have any idea how real those talks were or what we would have paid for him.
I’d love to get a better big than Zeller to shore up our defense but that was what we could afford if we were going to lock up Herb long term.
I want an upgrade from JV at starting center but just wanting it doesn’t mean one that fits with us is both available and affordable.
In short, I don’t want to stay complacent but risk has to be calculated, especially due to the CBA changes with regards to the tax and repeater status.
Something that puts us over that better be the final piece to a major title contender or else we’re fricked long term.

Fantastic deal for the Spurs.

We traded for CJ and Nance 1 1/4 seasons ago.
The 1/4 season: no Zion
Last season: Zion, CJ, and BI played 10 total games together.
Why would we take another risk before we see how our first risk plays out?

The only move we can make is trade Val/ Nance.
Val really isn’t our issue. Lack of depth at both PF/ C was our problem last year.
Zeller/ Billy: wash
Val/ Val: wash
Semi injured Zion: wash
Semi injured Nance: wash
Healthy Liddell: +
Young playable center: +
Liddell and whoever we replace Jaxson with should be automatic extra depth.
Having extra help also means that Nance doesn’t have to risk injury as often by covering 2 whole positions. If Zion/ Nance stay healthy then we could pretty much have 3-4 extra players in rotation.

Fantastic deal for the Spurs.
It looks like the Spurs sent out four first round picks in the deal also, two to dallas and two to Boston

Second round picks, and they had like 30 of them.
Hell, four of them were from us to eat Graham’s contract.
